What is the cause of the green dregs of vaginal discharge?

Leucorrhea is the female vaginal discharge, and many gynecological diseases are diagnosed by examining leucorrhea. Therefore, when there is an abnormality in leucorrhea, it may be a signal of physical abnormality. In addition to gynecological diseases, the menstrual period will also affect the shape of leucorrhea. Leucorrhea of different colors and shapes may indicate different diseases. Why does the leucorrhea appear green and dreglike?

1. Vaginitis

If a woman's leucorrhea is yellow-green and has a tofu-like appearance, it is very likely to be candidal vaginitis. This can cause great harm to women, affect pregnancy, and is easily contagious. Therefore, if a woman's leucorrhea is yellow-green and resembling tofu dregs, she should go to the hospital as soon as possible for a routine leucorrhea examination and symptomatic treatment.

2. Normal leucorrhea

Normal leucorrhea of women should be milky white or colorless and transparent, with a slightly fishy smell or no smell; its secretion amount and texture are affected by the levels of estrogen and progesterone in the body, and vary cyclically with the menstrual cycle, with varying amounts, textures and thicknesses. Therefore, it is abnormal for women's leucorrhea to be yellow-green and tofu-like in appearance. Based on years of clinical analysis, this is a typical symptom of female candidal vaginitis. Therefore, female friends should go to the hospital for routine leucorrhea examination as soon as possible, and be careful of candidal vaginitis.

3. Treatment

For simple vulvovaginal candidiasis, local medication is the main choice. Generally, the symptoms will be alleviated or disappear within 2-3 days after medication. Clotrimazole vaginal suppository, use every 3 days, 2 times in total. Regarding the treatment of complicated vulvovaginal candidiasis, the selected drugs are basically the same as those for simple vulvovaginal candidiasis. Whether local or systemic medications are used, the treatment time should be appropriately extended. The treatment principle of vulvovaginal candidiasis during pregnancy is that the first issue that must be considered during treatment is whether the drug is harmful to the fetus; treatment is mainly based on local medication, and systemic medication is not used; it is limited to pregnant women with symptoms and signs.
