What is the cause of foamy leucorrhea

What is the cause of foamy leucorrhea

The amount of vaginal discharge increases significantly, and it is in the form of thin foam, sometimes mixed with blood. There is also a bad smell and itching symptoms, and the itching areas are mainly around the vaginal opening and vulva. The most common symptoms are itching, burning, and pain during sexual intercourse. When the infection reaches the urethra, there will be frequent urination, urgency, pain, and even hematuria. The above are some symptoms of Trichomonas vaginitis, so the reason for foamy leucorrhea is most likely caused by Trichomonas vaginitis.

1. Foamy leucorrhea

If you have grayish white or grayish yellow foamy leucorrhea with a sour odor after bathing in a public bath or using a public bath towel or bathtub, you should consider whether you have been infected with Trichomonas vaginitis.

2. Tofu-like leucorrhea

It is mostly unique to candidal vaginitis. The vulva and vaginal walls are often covered with a layer of white film-like substance. After rubbing, the red and swollen mucosal surface is exposed, which is easily infected by fungi and is often accompanied by vulvar itching and burning pain. Especially people with diabetes or pregnant women should think about this, because pregnant women and people with diabetes have poor physical condition and low immunity, which makes them prone to fungal infections.

3. Colorless, transparent, sticky leucorrhea

It is similar to egg white, or slightly turbid, but other than increased vaginal discharge, there are rarely other symptoms. This type of vaginal discharge is more common in chronic cervicitis.

4. Bloody leucorrhea

That is, there is blood mixed in the leucorrhea. The appearance of such leucorrhea should alert you to the possibility of malignant tumors, such as cervical cancer, uterine cancer, vaginal tumors, etc. This leucorrhea may also occur in some benign lesions, such as senile vaginitis, cervical erosion, etc.

5. Yellow leucorrhea

Most of them are caused by bacterial infection. Gonorrhea, tuberculosis, etc. may be the cause. Treponema pallidum can also cause purulent infection of the vagina. When the patient discharges a large amount of leucorrhea with a special smell from the vagina, it should be suspected whether there is a foreign body in the vagina, which causes an increase in leucorrhea and serious infection.
