How to check endocrine system?

Endocrine examination is an effective method to understand women's physical health, and the six-item endocrine examination is a relatively routine examination. The six-item examination can actually be done individually or as a whole, and blood drawing must be done on an empty stomach.

1. The six-item endocrine examination is a common examination for women. Its main purpose is to accurately understand the endocrine condition of female patients by detecting six indicators in female serum. By checking whether the indicators are normal, it can further determine whether the female endocrine organs such as ovaries, pituitary gland, hypothalamus, etc. are normal, so that doctors can make accurate diagnosis and facilitate subsequent treatment.

2. The six endocrine items are a serum test. Since there are several types of periods in the menstrual cycle, namely the follicular phase, ovulation phase, luteal phase and menopause, the endocrine indicators in different periods are different, so it is necessary to determine the time for blood test.

3. Medically speaking, it is most appropriate to check on the 3rd to 5th day of the menstrual cycle. If the circumstances are special, you can check at any time, but be sure to indicate the specific time. In addition, if you take hormone drugs before the six endocrine examinations, you should wait for a while and then have the examination again after the hormones are completely excreted.

4. During the examination, you can check these six indicators individually or all of them. For the first examination, the doctor will recommend checking all six.

5. Most of the examination items generally require the extraction of 2 ml of venous serum. When checking the luteinizing hormone index, it is necessary to collect 3 to 4 blood samples within 1 hour and then conduct mixed measurements. Patients should not feel troubled. When checking the prolactin index, you should be on an empty stomach and have your blood drawn around 9 am.
