Does ovulation bleeding affect pregnancy? The impact of ovulation bleeding on pregnancy

Many women experience this in their daily lives: their menstruation has just ended, but they have bleeding symptoms again after a day or two. At this time, you may think that it is because your menstruation is not clean, and sometimes you may feel very nervous. In fact, you don’t have to worry. This situation is called ovulation bleeding, and it has little effect on pregnancy.

We all know that menstruation is caused by the shedding of the endometrium, so what is ovulation bleeding? In fact, its principle is the same as that of menstruation (maybe you can call it menstruation). Ovulation bleeding is due to a temporary drop in estrogen levels, which causes the endometrium to lose hormonal support and partial shedding of the endometrium, which then causes regular vaginal bleeding.

Ovulation bleeding is mid-menstrual bleeding, which refers to a small amount of bleeding between two normal menstrual periods, which may be accompanied by varying degrees of lower abdominal pain. Just like menstruation, it is also accompanied by symptoms such as abdominal pain. However, the amount of blood discharged during ovulation is relatively small, and sometimes it is only brown secretions. Generally speaking, ovulation bleeding will stop on its own within 2-3 days, and up to 7 days.

Why does bleeding occur during ovulation?

In fact, every woman who is planning to get pregnant may experience ovulation bleeding. Generally speaking, the amount of bleeding is very small and cannot be observed with the naked eye. However, some people will experience obvious bleeding symptoms, and the severity cannot be generalized.

The main causes of ovulation bleeding are as follows:

1. Hormone levels fluctuate too much. After ovulation, estrogen levels drop rapidly, causing the endometrium, which has proliferated under the influence of estrogen, to lose support and cause a small amount of bleeding.

2. Chronic inflammation of the endometrium causes obvious congestion of the endometrium during ovulation, or when ovulation occurs, the blood vessels on the surface of the ovary happen to rupture, the bleeding increases than normal amount and flows back into the uterine cavity with the peristalsis of the fallopian tube and is discharged from the body through the vagina.

3. When examining the cervical mucus of ovulating women in the middle of their menstrual period, it was found that about 60% of them had red blood cells under a microscope, but there was no bleeding that could be seen with the naked eye. This is not a pathological phenomenon and is normal.

4. Ovulation bleeding occurs because the ovulatory follicle ruptures and the estrogen level temporarily drops, causing changes in vascular permeability and red blood cells to leak out of the blood vessels. If the bleeding happens occasionally, it is normal. However, if the amount of bleeding is heavy or the bleeding occurs frequently, you should see a doctor.

5. Generally speaking, ovulation bleeding will not affect pregnancy, but many couples may stop having sex due to ovulation bleeding and miss the opportunity to conceive; or it may not be normal ovulation bleeding, but some disease may be the cause. This may have a certain impact on pregnancy.
