Chlamydia infection is a common phenomenon, especially for women, who are more susceptible to infection because their body resistance is much weaker than that of men, and their private parts are not easily protected, giving bacteria an opportunity to take advantage. Chlamydia infection requires active treatment, but is it easy to treat for women who test positive for chlamydia? What are the dangers? 1. Chlamydia infection in women is not limited to the urethra, but can affect the entire urogenital organs. This type of infection is often neglected due to the lack of subjective symptoms or mild symptoms, which leads to the spread of infection and harm. 2. The main site of infection for chlamydia in women is the cervix, from which it can be vertically transmitted to newborns, causing conjunctivitis, rhinitis, otitis media, pneumonia and vaginitis in infants. If not treated in time, it can also lead to infertility. 3. Asymptomatic infection (lack of symptom response) may occur, that is, lack of subjective symptoms. The clinical manifestations are purulent vaginal discharge, which may also be mucous or serous. The amount of secretion is large (moderate) and has a slight odor. The vaginal mucosa is normal in color, but is often accompanied by cervical erosion. 4. Chlamydial cervicitis: Cervicitis is one of the diseases most easily caused by chlamydia infection in women. When accompanied by cervicitis, patients often experience redness of the cervix, increased serous or purulent secretions, enlarged erosion in the vagina, and easy bleeding. The "vaginal cleanliness" of vaginal secretions under microscopic examination is mostly above grade III. Chlamydia trachomatis mainly invades the columnar epithelial cells of the cervix, while the squamous epithelial cells are often not invaded, so there are no local changes in the vagina and cervix. The main symptoms of chlamydial cervicitis are general symptoms such as increased vaginal discharge, occasional bleeding and lower abdominal pain, which have no specific manifestations. Most patients come to the hospital for treatment because their sexual partners suffer from urethritis. |
