Treatment methods for vulvar atrophy, treatment and care should be done well

Vulvar atrophy is common among middle-aged women. The most common treatment is to keep the vulva dry and avoid using irritating drugs when cleaning. You can eat more protein-rich foods, drink plenty of water, and avoid spicy foods.

1. General treatment: Keep the vulva clean and dry. Do not use irritating drugs or soaps to clean the vulva. Avoid wearing non-breathable synthetic underwear and do not eat spicy and allergic foods. For those with severe itching symptoms leading to insomnia, sedatives, sleeping pills and anti-allergic drugs can be added.

2. Local drug treatment: The main symptom of this disease is severe itching, and it is generally recommended to use glucocorticoids for treatment, which has a definite effect. Commonly used: 1% to 2% hydrocortisone ointment or 0.025% fluocinolone ointment, 3 to 4 times a day. Generally, skin lesions will return to normal 6 weeks after medication.

3. What foods are good for the body when suffering from vulvar lichen sclerosus?

1. Eat more foods rich in protein and carbohydrates. For example: milk, soy milk, eggs, meat, etc.

2. Drink more water and eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. Such as apples, pears, bananas, strawberries, kiwis, cabbage, greens, rapeseed, mushrooms, seaweed, kelp, etc.

3. Eat foods that cool the blood and detoxify. Mung bean, rice, cucumber, bitter gourd, purslane, green tea, etc.

4. What foods should not be eaten for vulvar lichen sclerosus?

1. Avoid eating foods that cause irritation. Such as fish, shrimp, crab, chicken head, pork head, goose meat, chicken wings, chicken feet, etc., will aggravate the itching and inflammation of the vagina after eating.

2. Try to eat less spicy and irritating food. For example: onions, peppers, chili peppers, Sichuan peppercorns, mustard greens, and fennel.

3. Avoid eating fried and greasy foods. Such as fried dough sticks, cream, butter, chocolate, etc., these foods help to increase moisture and heat, which will increase the secretion of leucorrhea and are not conducive to the treatment of the disease.

4. Quit smoking and drinking. Tobacco and alcohol are strong irritants and will aggravate inflammation.
