Can women with thin endometrium do IVF?

Can women with thin endometrium do IVF?

If the endometrium is too thin, it will affect women's fertility and may cause infertility. In fact, there is not much correlation between thin endometrium and whether in vitro fertilization can be performed. It can be done, but attention should also be paid to the treatment and conditioning of the endometrium.

1. First of all, we should understand why the endometrium is thin? The causes of thin endometrium are divided into systemic factors and local factors. Systemic factors include endocrine disorders, such as low estrogen levels, insufficient progesterone, ovulation disorders and growth hormone deficiency; local factors are mainly endometrial damage, adhesion and absence. For example, severe endocrine disorders, induced abortion, and uterine malformations are the three main causes of thin endometrium. Secondly, we should cure the thin endometrium before we can perform IVF.

2. For those with thin endometrium caused by low hormone levels, start supplementing with 1 unit of natural estrogen on the 10th day of menstruation, and take it for 5 days. Using it too early will inhibit ovulation, and using it for a long time will cause excessive endometrial hyperplasia.

3. Thin endometrium caused by endometrial adhesion and damage can only be treated with cold instruments under hysteroscopy and then anti-adhesion treatment, and endometrial transplantation is required for severe cases;

3. For older women with thin endometrium and less menstrual flow, one unit of growth hormone can be given per day. The usage varies according to the cause and age (growth hormone is an anti-aging hormone and has no growth effect on adults);

5. For thin endometrium caused by luteal insufficiency, you should take hmg75iu per day on the fifth day of menstruation for five consecutive days. This can increase the granulosa cells in the follicles and increase the secretion of progesterone. Furthermore, if the thin endometrium is cured, in vitro fertilization can be performed. Experts say that in vitro fertilization uses artificial methods to fertilize eggs and sperm in vitro, undergo early embryonic development, and then is transplanted into the mother's uterus to develop and create a baby.
