Will cervical hypertrophy turn into cancer? Beware of cervical cancer

Will cervical hypertrophy turn into cancer? Many women are concerned about this. If cervical hypertrophy is not treated in time, the condition may become serious and may very likely cause cervical cancer. Especially when accompanied by cervical erosion, active treatment is required. Common methods include physical therapy.

1. Since some women are accustomed to delaying treatment after becoming ill , if cervical hypertrophy is not treated for a long time, the condition will worsen and induce cervical cancer.

2. The main causes of cervical hypertrophy are: (1) Chronic inflammation and long-term stimulation cause cervical congestion and edema, and proliferation of cervical glands and stroma, resulting in varying degrees of cervical hypertrophy.

(2) Mucus may accumulate deep in the cervical glands, forming cysts of varying sizes and causing the cervix to become enlarged. Cervical hypertrophy can sometimes be 2 to 4 times larger than a normal cervix. The surface of the cervix can be smooth or eroded. The texture of the cervix is generally hard, which is caused by the hyperplasia of fibrous connective tissue. Cervical hypertrophy generally does not require treatment. If there is erosion, cervical erosion can be treated.

3. Treatment: 1. Physical therapy is suitable for moderate and severe erosions. It is currently the method with the best efficacy and the shortest treatment course, and can usually be cured in one time. 1) Electric ironing

Use an electric iron to touch the eroded surface to coagulate the tissue and form a scab. The scab will begin to fall off after about two weeks, and it usually takes 6 to 8 weeks for the wound to heal. The operation should be performed 3 to 5 days after the end of menstruation. Do not use if you have adnexitis. After treatment, leucorrhea may temporarily increase or cause bleeding. If there is a lot of bleeding, use sterile gauze to apply pressure to stop the bleeding and remove it after 24 hours. The disadvantage is that scar contraction may sometimes lead to cervical stenosis.

2) Cryotherapy

Use a liquid nitrogen rapid cooling device to place the probe on the eroded surface for 1 to 3 minutes, remove it after natural rewarming, and cause freezing necrosis of the diseased tissue. A lot of watery discharge may occur 2 to 3 weeks after treatment. The advantage is that bleeding and cervical stenosis occur less frequently.
