Can cervicitis be cured?

Can cervicitis be cured?

Cervicitis is a major killer of women. Its incidence rate is even more than half of that of gynecological inflammation, and the symptoms it manifests are also relatively numerous. So can patients with cervicitis be cured? Let me introduce it below.

Generally speaking, cervicitis does not require treatment when there is no infection, but can be observed regularly. Modern medicine believes that there is no need to regard cervical erosion as an invasion of cancer. In the past, as soon as cervical erosion occurred, both doctors and patients were worried about cancer, which led to the national treatment of cervical erosion. In fact, cervical erosion only needs treatment when it is accompanied by infection. If there is no infection, observation should be the main approach.

Can cervicitis be cured? The treatment of cervicitis is not difficult. Generally, it can be easily cured by systemic and local treatment of the pathogen. The principle of treatment is generally to consider drug therapy first, taking systemic treatment with antibiotics and local treatment with vaginal suppositories, effervescent tablets or gels. If drug treatment is not effective, consider physical therapy such as electrocautery and microwave. The specific situation varies from person to person.

It is worth noting that the outward migration of the cervical mucosa is prone to infection, so if a woman with cervicitis wants to get pregnant, she should consider it earlier and prepare for pregnancy only after the cervicitis is cured. Experts remind women of this type not to have an abortion for their first child, because after an abortion, the cervix may become covered and more susceptible to infection, which reduces the chance of pregnancy.

Some women find that they have cervicitis after they become pregnant. If this is the case, they should actively seek treatment and give birth to the baby as soon as possible, because cervicitis is particularly prone to infection. Once infected, the chance of getting pregnant next time will be much smaller, but after giving birth to a child, the worries will be much less. If cervicitis is discovered during pregnancy and is not treated, it may cause premature rupture of the fetal membrane, which is often very dangerous. In addition, the mother may also transmit the inflammation to the child during delivery.
