Preparation before breast fibroid surgery

Preparation before breast fibroid surgery

Patients need to pay attention to the various preparations before breast fibroid surgery. The examination should be done on the tenth day after the menstrual period, and you can diagnose by yourself, especially if you find lumps or thickening changes, you should pay attention to it.

1. Inspection time: once a month, on the 10th day after the onset of menstruation. Because at this time the breast tissue is least affected by various endocrine hormones in the body and the breast glands are relatively soft, the conditions detected can truly and accurately reflect the lesions in the breast tissue. Remember to do your self-examination at the same time every month. >>>Recommended reading: How to choose a specialist to treat breast fibroids

2. Visual examination: Expose the upper body, stand or sit in front of a mirror, and observe facing the mirror first. It is necessary to observe whether the size of the breasts has changed, whether the outer contour is natural as usual, whether the skin has redness, swelling, ulceration, depression, wrinkles, orange peel-like changes, etc., whether the nipples are raised, retracted, or sunken, and whether there is any abnormal secretion overflowing from the nipples; especially whether the nipples on both sides are on the same level, etc. In addition, when changing underwear, check whether there are any stains on the underwear. Generally speaking: If there is a new obvious asymmetry in the appearance of the breasts, it should be taken seriously.

3. Touch: Sit upright or lie flat. Sit upright with your arms relaxed and don't squeeze them; lie flat on your back with a pillow under your shoulders to slightly raise them. Put the four fingers of the opposite hand together and gently touch various parts of the breast with the palm of your fingertips, moving in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction. Check around. If you find any lumps or changes such as thickening of the glands, you should pay attention to it.
