1. Panax notoginseng and Rehmannia root lean meat soup

Crush 12 grams of Panax notoginseng and put it into a casserole with 30 grams of Rehmannia glutinosa, 4 jujubes, and 300 grams of lean pork. Add appropriate amount of water, boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat for 1 hour until the lean meat is cooked through, then add appropriate amount of salt. Drink the soup and eat the meat, one dose every other day.

Function: promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis and relieving pain. It is mainly used to treat acute lumbar disc herniation of qi stagnation and blood stasis type.

2. Panax notoginseng stewed with frog

Peel the skin, head and internal organs of 2 fat frogs (about 200 grams), chop 15 grams of Panax notoginseng, remove the cores of 4 jujubes, put them into a stewing pot, add appropriate amount of water, boil over high heat, then simmer on low heat for 1-2 hours. Drink the soup and eat the meat, 1 dose/day.

Function: Invigorate Qi and promote blood circulation, reduce swelling and relieve pain. It is mainly used to treat lumbar disc herniation due to qi deficiency and blood stasis, and spleen and stomach weakness.

3. Panax notoginseng pork tendon soup

Add 200g pig trotter tendon and 50g lean meat into boiling water, put them into a casserole, and add 15g of Panax notoginseng (crushed). Boil 4 jujubes and water, then simmer for 1-2 hours. Drink the soup and eat the meat, 1 dose/day.

Function: Promote blood circulation, relieve pain, strengthen tendons and bones. It is mainly used to treat qi stagnation and blood stasis, and lumbar disc herniation due to kidney deficiency.

4. Aconitum porridge

Put 5 grams of Chuanwu (ground into powder), appropriate amount of honey, 2 slices of ginger, and 50 grams of polished rice into a casserole, add appropriate amount of water and simmer until it becomes a thick porridge. Take in the morning and evening, 1 dose/day.

Function: dispel wind, dispel cold and remove dampness. It is mainly used to treat lumbar disc herniation caused by severe cold-dampness obstruction.

5. Angelica, ginger and mutton soup

Cut 30g each of angelica and ginger into large slices; Boil 500g of mutton in water, let it cool, and cut into pieces. Put mutton, angelica, ginger and 10 red dates into a casserole, add appropriate amount of water and boil together, skim off the foam after boiling, then simmer on low heat until the mutton is cooked. Drink the soup and eat the meat as desired, one dose every other day.
