Vaginal secretion check cleanliness

Some women often do some routine gynecological examinations when they go to the hospital for gynecological examinations. Women are very concerned about the term vaginal cleanliness but don't quite understand it. Vaginal cleanliness is divided into 4 degrees. Let's focus on what female secretion cleanliness degree 3 means.

The female secretions are stained with acid-fast dye and observed under a microscope. The cleanliness of the vaginal discharge is judged by the number of vaginal bacilli, white blood cell counts (WBC) and fungi. There are 4 levels:

Leucorrhea cleanliness level classification

The cleanliness of leucorrhea is divided into degree I, degree II, degree III, and degree IV, and the measurement is carried out under a microscope.

Grade I: refers to the fact that the pathogens in the female vagina are dominated by lactobacilli, and a large number of squamous epithelial cells in the vagina can be seen, but Gram-negative bacilli and other fungi are not seen. Under a high-power microscope, there are no more than 5 pus balls in one sight.

Grade II: Only some of the bacteria in the vagina are lactobacilli, and only some of the vaginal squamous epithelial cells are seen. Under a high-power microscope, there are more than 5 but no more than 15 pus balls in one sight. In the secretions of grade II, lactobacilli and vaginal squamous epithelial cells are much lower than those of grade I, and some pus balls and fungi are also seen.

Grade III: Only a small amount of lactobacilli and squamous epithelial cells in the vagina can be seen. On the contrary, the number of fungi increases, and there are 15 to 30 pus balls at a low power level.

Grade IV: Completely opposite to Grade I, lactobacilli and vaginal squamous epithelial cells are basically invisible, fungi are all visible, and the number of pus balls is more than 30.

Therefore, the cleanliness of leucorrhea is worse the greater the degree of myopia. In clinical medicine, cleanliness levels I to II are normal; levels III to IV are abnormal, and in most cases are caused by infection. It is necessary to combine routine leucorrhea examination to check for Trichomonas, fungi or Gardnerella. Simple cleanliness improvement may also be nonspecific vaginitis.
