How to deal with joint pain during confinement

Pregnant women finally wait for their babies to be born after ten months of pregnancy, but they often feel uncomfortable at some point after delivery. Especially during the confinement period, joint pain is very likely to occur. This indirectly brings some burden to their normal life.

After the baby is born, the mothers who have been pregnant for ten months finally "deliver". When mothers imagine themselves being mothers, holding their babies in one hand and wearing fashionable brand clothes, their dreams of being hot moms are shattered because of pain in their waists and knees. So, what exactly causes postpartum joint pain? What to do about joint pain after childbirth?

What causes joint pain after childbirth?

1. Nerve compression. During pregnancy, there is an overall increase in the amount of water circulating in the body. Therefore, the ligaments in the wrist and other parts become edematous, compressing the nerve channel that controls the fingers, the median nerve, causing numbness and pain, which causes carpal tunnel syndrome.

2. Vitamin B12 deficiency. Lack of this vitamin can cause peripheral nerve disorders and lead to numbness and pain in the joints.

3. Doing heavy physical work too early will cause you to catch a cold. If a mother does housework too early and too much after giving birth, or holds the baby for too long, or is exposed to cold water, it will overload the joints, tendons and ligaments, causing pain in the wrist and finger joints, and suffering from the most common "mom's wrist", which is clinically called "narrowing tendon bursitis of the wrist."

4. Less activity during the confinement period. During the confinement period, postpartum mothers have less activity and even rarely get out of bed to walk, which will cause the fat pad in the heel to degenerate due to disuse and become weak, greatly weakening its role in supporting body weight and cushioning shock during exercise.
