What are the symptoms of urinary tract infection?

Urinary tract infection will cause a lot of troubles to patients, and they are prone to low back pain, swelling, fever, headache, chills and other problems. The most obvious symptoms are frequent urination, bloating and pain when urinating, so treatment must be taken seriously.

Symptom 1: Low back pain Low back pain is a common clinical symptom. Kidney and perirenal diseases are one of the common causes of low back pain. When the renal capsule, renal pelvis, and ureter are irritated or the tension increases, the low back may feel painful. Lower urinary tract infection generally does not cause low back pain. Inflammation of the kidney and perirenal areas, such as renal abscess, perinephritis, perirenal abscess, and acute pyelonephritis, often cause persistent and severe pain in the low back. The low back pain caused by chronic pyelonephritis is often soreness.

Symptom 2: Systemic symptoms such as fever, chills, headache, etc. are mainly seen in patients with upper urinary tract infection, especially those with acute urinary tract infection and urinary tract obstruction.

Symptom 3: Abnormal urination. Common abnormal urination symptoms of urinary tract infection are frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating. Urinary incontinence and urinary retention may also be seen. In the early stage of chronic renal failure caused by chronic pyelonephritis, there may be polyuria, and in the later stage, there may be oliguria or anuria. Symptom 4: Abnormal urine Urinary tract infection can cause abnormal changes in urine, the most common of which are bacteriuria, pyuria, hematuria and pneumaturia. Routine urine examination may show white blood cells, red blood cells or even protein.
