Dizziness and headache are common neurological diseases in life, often occurring together with other diseases. Headache and dizziness have a great impact on people's daily life. There are many causes of dizziness and headaches, such as staying up late, catching a cold, and not getting enough rest. So, what should you do if you have a headache or dizziness?

1: Fumigation analgesia

1: Use 15g of Chuanxiong, 30g of late silkworm feces, 20-30g of Bombyx batryticatus, and 15g of Angelica dahurica. Put all the medicines into a casserole, add 5 bowls of water, boil until 3 bowls of water remain, and seal the casserole with thick paper. Usage: Depending on the size of the painful area, make a hole in the center of the covering paper, and let the patient align the painful area with the hole in the paper; for patients with full-headed headaches, align the head with the mouth of the casserole (close eyes tightly or wrap them with a towel), cover the head with a large square towel, and fumigate with the hot air emitted by the medicine. Take one dose a day, use each dose twice, and fumigate for 10 to 15 minutes each time. Suitable for all kinds of headaches.

2. Medicine juice smear method

1: Take 100g each of fresh ginger and green onion, wash them, put them in a porcelain bowl, add a little cold boiled water, mash them to extract the juice, use a cotton ball to dip the juice and apply it to the temples or forehead, or the area where the headache occurs. After application, you can tap the applied area with your fingers several times a day.

Three: The method of taping the temples

9g each of Schizonepeta, Pangolin, Angelica dahurica, Mole Cricket, 3g each of Dried Scorpion (detoxified), Earthworm, Ginger Silkworm, 5g of Tooth Soap, grind into powder, add 1g of borneol, mix with honey, spread on a cloth and apply to both temples (apply at night and remove in the morning), once a day. This prescription was used by Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty when he had severe headaches.

4. Plugged nose and sneezing method

(1) Grind equal amounts of Saposhnikovia divaricata, Veratrum lucidum and Trichosanthes kirilowii into powder. Take a small amount and use it to sneeze. This recipe is suitable for all types of headaches. (2) 1g of realgar (the best kind of realgar), 3g of saltpeter, 6g of Chuanxiong, 8g of Angelica dahurica, 2g each of frankincense and myrrh, grind them into fine powder, take a small amount and sneeze it in your nose, stop taking it when the pain stops.

5. Chinese medicine nasal plugging method

1: Take 15g of Chuanxiong, 9g of Angelica dahurica, 1g of Borneolum, 3g of Asarum, and 6g of Notopterygium wilfordii, grind them into a very fine powder, bottle and set aside. When using, take 3 to 6 grams of the powder according to the patient's age, put it on gauze and roll it into a strip. Plug it into the right nostril for left-sided headaches, plug it into the left nostril for right-sided headaches, and alternate between the left and right nostrils for all-sided headaches. 1 to 2 times a day for 5 to 7 days.

6. Yongquan acupoint method

Take appropriate amount of Evodia rutaecarpa and grind it into fine powder. Add appropriate amount of rice vinegar to make a thin paste. Apply it to the Yongquan acupoints on the soles of both feet. Change the dressing once a day. One course of treatment is 7 days. Repeat 1 to 2 courses. This method treats the upper disease by treating the lower part, calms the liver and suppresses yang, and leads the heat downward. It is very effective for hypertension headache and liver yang headache.

7. The treatment of headache should be based on the above

Different types of headaches vary. For headaches caused by diseases with clear causes, the disease should be controlled first to relieve the pain. If it is a tension headache or migraine, you should pay attention to avoid their triggering factors, such as light, insomnia, irregular work and rest, etc.
