Is it good to use tampons?

Due to the special physiological structure of women, normal female friends will have menstruation every month. This is also a normal reaction of the body under normal circumstances. Moreover, when menstruating, women’s body resistance is low. Generally, sanitary napkins are mainly used. However, many female friends now use tampons. So, is it good to use tampons? Let’s take a look at it below.

Are tampons easy to use? It depends on the individual. You can still use tampons during sleep at night, but since the night time is longer, you can choose tampons with weaker absorption to use with sanitary napkins. If you still have health concerns, you can use sanitary napkins instead.

Some women use tampons in order to engage in activities such as swimming and hot spring bathing during their menstrual week. Due to the physiological structure of the human body, water will not enter the vagina, but when using tampons to engage in such activities, they still need to pay attention to hygiene and cleanliness.

Some people are also worried that the cotton thread (drawstring) will break. Since tampons are high-density compressed bodies, the cotton thread is tightly pressed into the tampon body, so that the cotton thread can withstand a tensile force of more than three kilograms, and there is no need to worry about the cotton thread being broken.

Nearly half of TSS cases occur in women during their menstrual period, but fortunately the condition is extremely rare. Because tampons are in close contact with vaginal epithelial cells, the body's resistance may be reduced. If the replacement interval is too long, the endometrium may dry out due to the absorption of the tampon, causing a type of Staphylococcus aureus in the vagina to enter the blood circulation system, causing symptoms such as sore throat, fever, joint and muscle pain, low blood pressure, and even shock in severe cases. If tampons are too absorbent, users may think they don't need to change them frequently, which increases the chance of infection. Therefore, it is believed that the absorbency of sanitary napkins is related to toxic shock syndrome (TSS).

The way to improve this is that users should pay attention to their usage and change tampons frequently. It is best to use tampons and sanitary napkins alternately.

Through the above introduction about whether it is good to use tampons, we now know that tampons are also a kind of sanitary product used by female friends during menstruation. The difference from sanitary napkins is that tampons can be used normally without being restricted by menstruation. However, female friends must pay attention to the correct usage methods when using them.
