How to use the contraceptive patch

How to use the contraceptive patch

There are many contraceptive devices and tools currently on the market, some for men and some for women. Contraceptive patches are one of the more commonly used contraceptive tools for women. In actual use, they have a good contraceptive effect on women's bodies and have no side effects. It is a relatively safe and effective contraceptive method and is currently being widely used in clinical practice in China.

The contraceptive patch is attached to the skin, and then it releases progesterone and estrogen. After penetrating the skin, they reach the blood vessels and play a contraceptive role. The contraceptive patch is used for a period of time and cycle. Generally, 3 patches are applied per week. Generally, the first day of the menstrual period is regarded as the first day of a cycle. From the first week to the third week, a new contraceptive patch should be used every week. After three consecutive weeks, a good contraceptive effect can be achieved.

The body part where the contraceptive patch is applied can be the buttocks, abdomen, back, or the outer side of the forearm when it is stretched out. Before applying the patch, you should clean your skin first, then apply moisturizer and then apply it. Be careful not to apply the contraceptive patch on the same area each time you change it to avoid causing skin sensitivity. It is recommended to apply the contraceptive patch on the buttocks, as it is more comfortable than other parts of the body and does not feel like a foreign body. The contraceptive patch is very effective. In addition to contraception, it can also regulate menstruation and relieve dysmenorrhea symptoms. In addition, the contraceptive patch can also reduce the probability of women suffering from pelvic inflammatory disease and fibroids.

However, the use of contraceptive patches also has certain side effects. Although this method is much more effective than other contraceptive methods such as condoms or uterine rings, in actual use it is not very effective for overweight women because the amount of contraceptive hormones released in the contraceptive patch is insufficient, which can easily lead to unwanted pregnancies.
