What is the safe period?

Maybe we all don’t know much about what the safe period is. We may know that every female friend has menstruation every month. Menstrual problems may cause us great abdominal pain and may also cause endocrine disorders. We must pay special attention to diet. Let me briefly describe what the safe period is.

Normal women of childbearing age have menstruation once a month. The period from the beginning of this menstruation to the first day of the next menstruation is called a menstrual cycle.

From the perspective of contraception, each menstrual cycle of a woman can be divided into the menstrual period, ovulation period and safe period. Generally speaking,

The ovaries of women of normal childbearing age release only one egg per month. The egg can survive for 1 to 2 days after being released, and the sperm can survive for 2 to 3 days in the female reproductive tract.

Fertilization ability is mostly within 24 hours after ovulation. If it exceeds 2 to 3 days, the sperm will lose the ability to combine with the egg.

Therefore, if you have sexual intercourse 2 to 3 days before ovulation and 1 to 2 days after ovulation, you may get pregnant. This period is called the fertile period or the dangerous period.

A woman's ovulation date is generally about 14 days before the next menstrual period. To be on the safe side, we will divide the 5 days before and 4 days after ovulation.

The total of 10 days including the ovulation day is called the ovulation period. The rest of the time except the menstrual period is called the safe period.

The safe period is divided into the safe period before ovulation and the safe period after ovulation. The period from the end of menstruation to the day before ovulation is the safe period before ovulation.

From the first day after the end of ovulation to the day before the next menstrual cramps is the safe period after ovulation. The safe period after ovulation is safer than the safe period before ovulation.

Only after we understand what the safe period is can we choose the appropriate care method according to our own physiological changes. We must be careful to avoid blindly engaging in sexual activities. Sexual activities may expose us to disease-carrying infectious sources, which is very harmful to ourselves. We must develop good living habits in our daily lives.
