Proper exercise will not only not cause menstrual disorders, abdominal pain, bloating, back pain and other discomforts to female friends, but also is beneficial to the health of the body, such as effectively improving and enhancing the functional state of the human body, promoting blood circulation, especially improving the blood circulation of the reproductive organs in the pelvic cavity and reducing congestion. At the same time, exercise can also cause the abdominal muscles and pelvic floor muscles to contract and relax, which is beneficial to the discharge of menstrual blood and can relieve menstrual discomfort.

When we say don't exercise during menstruation, we mean don't do strenuous exercise. Because strenuous exercise can inhibit the function of the hypothalamus, causing endocrine system dysfunction, thereby interfering with the formation and cycle of normal menstruation. For some people, the position of the uterus may even change as a result. In addition, strenuous exercise during menstruation may cause uterine prolapse, especially weight-bearing strength training.

Therefore, it is best to maintain your original exercise habits during menstruation, and reduce the intensity of exercise and shorten the exercise time. And just after the menstrual period, do not resume previous exercise immediately, but do some buffered recovery exercises. The exercise time can be controlled within 10-30 minutes according to personal physical condition.

Of course, women can do aerobic exercise during menstruation, but they should still do aerobic exercise selectively. Some aerobic exercises are not suitable during menstruation, such as some high-intensity exercises and exercises such as swimming, which are also inappropriate and may cause menstrual disorders in women.
