What are the symptoms of menopause in women?

Every woman will go through menopause. When women reach a certain age, they will slowly enter menopause. Usually middle-aged women around 50 years old will enter menopause. Menopause is quite painful for women because it means that women have begun to age slowly, especially the secretion of hormones such as ovaries will decrease, which will cause aging of the skin, uterus, etc. So what are the symptoms of menopause in women?

1. Obesity. Generally, people who are 15 to 20% over normal weight are considered obese. Menopause is the main period for women to gain weight, especially in the abdomen and buttocks, where fat is most likely to accumulate.

2. Menstrual changes.

(1) Irregular uterine bleeding: Dysfunctional uterine bleeding occurs due to cessation of ovulation.

(2) Oligomenorrhea: refers to a menstrual cycle of more than 35 days, caused by infrequent ovulation, often accompanied by a decrease in menstrual blood volume.

(3) Frequent menstruation: refers to a menstrual cycle shorter than 21 days, often accompanied by premenstrual spotting and prolonged bleeding time. The main cause of this is luteal insufficiency.

(4) Amenorrhea: After the ovarian synthesis of sex hormones is greatly reduced, the endometrium loses the influence of estrogen and progesterone and is in a dormant state, thus no longer proliferating and shedding. At this time, amenorrhea occurs.

3. Symptoms of autonomic nervous system instability. Such as palpitations, dizziness, insomnia, abnormal skin sensation, etc. It is often accompanied by hot flashes. A small number of women do not have hot flashes and only show one or several of these symptoms.

4. Hot flashes and flushing. It is the most prominent symptom of menopause, with an incidence rate of about 80%. It manifests as paroxysmal heat sensation, starting from the face and spreading to the neck and chest, accompanied by diffuse or flaky skin redness, and then accompanied by sweating. This is called hot flashes. If there is only a feeling of heat without hot flashes or sweating, it is called hot flashes. The two often occur at the same time, mostly in the afternoon, evening and night, and can last from a few seconds to a few minutes, or even longer. In mild cases, it can occur several times a day, while in severe cases, it can occur more than ten or dozens of times a day. Generally, there is a feeling of chills after sweating.

There are many symptoms of menopause, but the most important ones are those introduced in the article. So when we have these symptoms, we must pay attention and adjust the menopause as soon as possible. Proper adjustment can help delay menopause. Moreover, women will age faster after menopause. If the adjustment is good, the time of menopause can be delayed.
