Why does the leucorrhea turn yellow after giving birth?

Abnormal leucorrhea is a common symptom among women. There are many manifestations of abnormal leucorrhea, including abnormal color, odor, and increase or decrease in leucorrhea. Under normal circumstances, leucorrhea is milky white or colorless, with a slightly fishy smell or no smell. Women who have given birth are also very prone to abnormal leucorrhea, which has a lot of impact on their lives. So why does leucorrhea turn yellow after giving birth?

After giving birth, if the vaginal discharge is just a little yellow and there are no other symptoms, you can use Jieryin to wash the vagina. It is not necessary to do so.

Increased leucorrhea may be due to gynecological inflammation. Excessive, thick and loose leucorrhea is a manifestation of gynecological inflammation. It is recommended to go to the hospital for a routine leucorrhea examination (to check for vaginitis) and cervical examination (to check for cervicitis), and then treat the symptoms after finding out the cause. The common examination of leucorrhea is to take vaginal discharge for examination. The cervix can be examined by colposcopy. An experienced doctor can also observe the cervix directly with the naked eye to preliminarily check for cervicitis.

This does not rule out the possibility of cervical erosion or endometritis. Therefore, further inspection is necessary.

It is likely to be candidal vaginitis, which is caused by infection with Candida albicans, a type of fungus. Contrary to Trichomonas, Candida is particularly easy to grow in an acidic environment and is usually transmitted through contact.

It is recommended to use alkaline solution sodium bicarbonate or soapy water to wash the vulva and vagina to change the acidity and alkalinity of the vagina, which is not conducive to the growth of fungi. After flushing, insert nystatin tablets or suppositories into the vagina and apply clotrimazole ointment on the vulva for better results.

It may be normal to have a little more vaginal discharge and wetness in your lower body six months after giving birth. It is recommended that you do not worry too much. Go to the hospital for examination in time if there is any problem.
