Is cervical erosion of degree 3 serious?

Cervical erosion is the most common type of gynecological disease and is the most common partial feature in the whole process of chronic uterine inflammatory disease. In clinical medicine, cervical erosion is divided into I, II, and III degrees according to the size of the total area of cervical erosion, or into mild, moderate, and severe degrees. Cervical erosion can be divided into three types according to its main manifestations: Simple erosion is common in the early stage of inflammation, so is cervical erosion of degree 3 serious?

Is the third degree cervical erosion serious? The harm of the third degree cervical erosion:

1. Damage to the urogenital system: Long-term irritation of cervical inflammation may cause other gynecological inflammations, such as: the pathogens of cervical erosion can ascend and cause endocervicitis; they can spread through the parauterine tendons and lymphatic vessels to cause chronic pelvic inflammatory disease; when the inflammation spreads to the bladder triangle, it can cause irritating symptoms such as urinary pain, frequent urination, urgency or difficulty urinating.

2. Damage to the urinary system: The quality and amount of cervical mucus are directly related to whether sperm can pass through the cervix into the uterine cavity. Under normal circumstances, during ovulation, under the action of estrogen, the cervical mucus has a higher water secretion volume and a thinner quality, which is conducive to the passage of sperm. When cervical erosion occurs, especially mild to moderate cervical erosion, cervical secretions will increase significantly, the quality is thick, and contain a large number of white blood cells, which will have a negative impact on the motility of sperm, and at the same time hinder the sperm from entering the uterine cavity, thereby affecting pregnancy.

3. Cause infertility: Because cervical erosion is in a more serious stage, the secretions of the cervix have increased significantly, with a large number of white blood cells, and the secretions are thick, which is not conducive to the activity of sperm, thus affecting pregnancy and causing female infertility.

4. External spread of pathogens: The pathogens of this type of disease may also spread along the parauterine tendons and lymphatic vessels, causing chronic pelvic inflammatory disease. If it spreads to the genitourinary system, it may also cause urinary irritation syndrome.

5. Deep changes: Because the inflammation cannot be safely and effectively treated for a long time, and the irritation of drug side effects, it can cause deeper symptoms such as cysts, lacerations, ectropion and swelling, causing more severe pain to women. Sometimes they have to resort to painful physical and surgical treatments, and the surgery will have a certain impact on the quality of life in the future.
