What to do if a pregnant woman has herpes in her mouth

I believe that in our lives, many of our friends have experienced mouth herpes. If it is a mild mouth herpes, it is generally caused by oral disease or inflammation. Although it is not a serious disease, it is very uncomfortable to have it in the mouth. There are many ways to treat this disease, but for pregnant women, it must be treated with caution to avoid causing physical discomfort. Let’s take a look at what to do if pregnant women have mouth herpes.

Oral herpes is a viral skin disease caused by infection with the herpes simplex virus. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is called "getting angry". It is prone to occur on the lips and corners of the mouth. It is often caused by colds, fever, fatigue, lack of sleep, depression, tension and anxiety, which lead to a decrease in immunity and the herpes virus lurking in the body to multiply, resulting in blisters at the corners of the mouth and the onset of the disease. Symptoms include a burning sensation at the beginning, followed by clustering of blisters, erosions, and scabs. The course of the disease is about one week and may relapse.

Treatment method: General antiviral drugs can be used to treat herpes simplex, but acyclovir is the most effective among them. Use 5% acyclovir ointment or 0.1% bubble cream for external use, and apply it alternately with dermatitis cream for better results. If there is infection, add chloramphenicol ointment. Ribavirin injection (viravir) wet compress: Use medical cotton balls or cotton swabs, or a small piece of gauze to saturate the ribavirin injection and apply it to the skin lesions. Apply for 15 minutes each time, 3 to 5 times a day, for 1 to 2 days. The control group applied 3% acyclovir ointment 3 times a day for 6 days.

In severe cases, acyclovir 0.2 can be taken 5 times a day for 3 to 5 days. Since acyclovir can affect the liver and kidneys, it is best to drink plenty of water during the medication period to avoid the effects of the drug on the kidneys. People with liver and kidney dysfunction should use it with caution. 4. You can take Chinese medicine for clearing heat and detoxifying, such as Niuhuang Jiedu Tablets, Xiaoyan Jiedu Pills, etc. orally.

Although herpes on the mouth is not a very serious disease, it is very uncomfortable. Especially when people eat or drink water, it will be very painful if it touches the herpes. There are many treatments for this disease, but not all of them are suitable for pregnant women. However, I believe that after reading the above content, everyone will have some understanding of the problem of what to do if pregnant women get herpes in the mouth.
