What to do if you are obese after giving birth

What to do if you are obese after giving birth

After giving birth, women's bodies will undergo a series of changes, the most obvious of which is weight gain, especially in the belly and thighs, which will be more obvious. This makes many women miserable. Women all love beauty, and an obese body will make them feel inferior. What should they do about obesity after giving birth? Let’s take a look at some of my experiences!

1. Get out of bed and move around regularly. As long as the mother is in good health and there is no perineal rupture after delivery, she can get out of bed and move around after 24 hours, and do some light housework after half a month. Because activities can increase the function of the neuroendocrine system, promote the regulation of human metabolism, and consume excess fat and sugar in the body, thereby achieving the purpose of preventing obesity.

2. Eat a balanced diet. Do not eat too much high-fat food after delivery, such as ten eggs or a chicken a day as advocated by the people. Eat more lean meat, soy products, eggs, fish, vegetables, fruits and other foods. Sugar and other sweets are good for postpartum nourishment, but do not eat too much. This can not only meet the body's needs for protein, inorganic salts and vitamins, but also prevent the occurrence of obesity.

3. Breastfeed yourself. Breastfeeding can transport excess nutrients from the mother's body tissues, help reduce the accumulation of subcutaneous fat, and thus effectively prevent obesity.

4. Do postpartum gymnastics. 24 hours after delivery, the mother can do some gymnastics in bed. As time goes by, the movements can be increased from small to large, from simple to complex, such as doing abdominal muscle exercises in the supine position and lumbar muscle exercises in the prone position, including double straight leg raises, sit-ups, head, shoulder and leg raises, etc., which have a significant effect on reducing fat accumulation in the abdomen, waist and buttocks.

Gaining weight after childbirth is the most common phenomenon, because the body will replenish a lot of nutrition after giving birth. If you don’t exercise, it is very easy to cause fat accumulation. What should you do if you are obese after giving birth? Of course exercise is necessary. Some postpartum exercise can help women recover better.
