Treatments for cervicitis

Treatments for cervicitis

Cervicitis has brought endless troubles to many of us. The treatment of this disease is also very difficult. Many people are unwilling to receive treatment because their disease is related to their privacy. Cervicitis will become more and more serious. Maybe many of us do not have a clear understanding of the methods of treating cervicitis. Let us learn about the methods of treating cervicitis.

1 To persist in treatment, you should first do an HPV test, as well as a cytology test (TCT, scraping, etc.), or a colposcopy to rule out the possibility of cervical cancer or atypical hyperplasia. Then go to the gynecology department of a regular hospital. You can choose drug treatment or physical therapy. Drugs can be a combination of oral and topical medications. Be sure to persist in taking the medication until the end of the course of treatment. It is best to treat your sexual partner as well, but in my personal experience, the effect of drug treatment is not particularly good and the effect is slow. Physical therapy is suitable for women who have no fertility requirements, because physical therapy may cause cervical adhesions or cervical insufficiency. Although the probability is not particularly high, it is also just in case.

Physical therapy generally includes laser, freezing, microwave, etc. The specific effects are not much different. Generally, only one treatment is needed. The effect is quick and there is no obvious pain. After the treatment, you must pay attention to personal hygiene and enhance resistance, especially if your work requires sitting for a long time. You must pay attention to activities, wear cotton underwear, and wear less tight pants. Do not have sex too frequently and it is best to use condoms. Also remember to have annual check-ups, including gynecological examinations and cytology tests. Whether or not the disease recurs has little to do with the treatment method, but rather with personal lifestyle habits and physical condition. If recurrence occurs, early treatment is recommended if it is detected in time.

2. Drug treatment: If the cervix appears normal but there is chronic purulent discharge in the cervical canal, culture and drug sensitivity tests should be performed.

Physical therapy: When choosing a method to treat cervicitis, the specific situation of the patient should be considered. Improper selection may cause cervical stenosis, which may affect future pregnancy and normal delivery.

Surgical treatment: For patients who have failed to recover after repeated treatments but still desire to have children, cervical cone resection can be performed as appropriate. It is mainly suitable for patients with cervical hypertrophy, wide erosion area, deep lesions, or involvement of the cervical canal.

The above content introduces us to the methods of treating cervicitis. I believe that we all have a clearer understanding of the above content. We must muster up the courage to treat and treat uterine problems. We must not refuse treatment because it involves our privacy issues. At the same time, we must take relevant care measures.
