What are the early treatments for ovarian cysts?

Women have a special organ - the uterus, which is the place where the baby grows before it is born. There is an ovary on each side of the uterus, which secretes various female hormones and egg cells. If there is a problem with the ovaries, it will not only affect a woman's fertility, but also her appearance, because estrogen helps women maintain their secondary sexual characteristics. Today I will talk to you about the early treatment of ovarian cysts.

For benign, non-neoplastic ovarian cysts with a diameter of less than 5 cm and no symptoms, no special treatment is required. Most of them can be absorbed by the body and disappear naturally. If the cyst is larger than 5 centimeters, shows a tendency to grow during regular observation, or the cyst grows rapidly and increases significantly, the patient should be admitted to the hospital for surgery. The surgery included ovarian cystectomy, salpingo-oophorectomy, adnexectomy and total hysterectomy.

Generally speaking, if the diameter of the cyst is less than 5 cm and there is no evidence to suggest a tumor, conservative treatment with traditional Chinese medicine can also be adopted. When a mixed mass is diagnosed in the ovary, the method of treating female ovarian cysts can be based on the situation. The relevant drugs can be used for conservative treatment for one to two courses, and then the B-ultrasound can be rechecked. If there is a reduction in size, surgery can be omitted. If there is no change or even growth, surgery must be performed.

Surgical treatment of malignant ovarian cysts: Most patients are in the late stage when they seek medical treatment, so every effort should be made to remove the primary cyst and any visible pelvic and abdominal metastases. Because malignant ovarian cysts are often adhered or infiltrated with the uterus and adnexa, and are closely attached to the pelvic peritoneum, the uterus and tumor are often removed in one piece, such as by rolling carpet or dumpling-like removal of the greater omentum, partial intestinal resection, partial bladder and ureter resection.

Ovarian cysts can be benign or malignant. Cysts with a smaller diameter are basically harmless to the human body and only require regular checks. However, if they are malignant, they must be taken seriously and, if necessary, surgically removed. Therefore, if conditions permit, it is recommended that female friends undergo regular gynecological examinations so that early detection can lead to early treatment.
