What is the best treatment for mastitis?

When it comes to mastitis, many people think it is a postpartum disease. Nipple rupture. Generally, patients with mastitis will experience nipple rupture in the early stages. When it comes to treating diseases, many people prefer traditional methods. Traditional Chinese medicine is loved by many people because it has fewer side effects. For mastitis, the treatment methods are different at different stages. Now let me show you how to treat it in stages.

The treatment of mastitis varies at different stages. Mastitis is divided into early stage, suppurative stage and late ulcer stage.

1. Early days

Early mastitis is relatively easy to treat. Its initial stage is mainly manifested by milk stasis and internal heat and toxins. The treatment principles are detoxification, clearing heat, promoting lactation and reducing swelling.

Topical medications: external application of golden ointment, jade dew ointment or Glauber's salt solution, or external application of breast healing ointment. It is simple, convenient and effective. In the initial stage, pay attention to keeping milk discharge unobstructed.

2. Purulent stage

The treatment method for the purulent stage also selects the treatment drugs based on the patient's two principles. There are two principles for treatment during the pus stage: one is weaning; the other is sufficient drainage of pus.

Treatment: Clear away heat and detoxify, expel toxins and release pus. The prescription of choice is Sanjiedan No. 1 or Tounongsan with additions and subtractions: Angelica sinensis, raw rhubarb, pangolin, Sichuan pepper, soapberry thorn, wild chrysanthemum, dandelion, plantain, scutellaria, honeysuckle, platycodon, raw licorice, charred hawthorn, and charred malt.

3. Late stage of ulcer

The treatment during this period is to drain pus and extract toxins, and the decoction used is Simiao Decoction with modifications: roasted Scutellaria baicalensis, Chinese angelica, honeysuckle, dandelion, wild chrysanthemum, and roasted licorice. After local incision and drainage of pus, use Ba Er Dan or Jiu Yi Dan to extract pus and detoxify, and use medicated thread for drainage. If the pus has been drained out, you can use Sheng Ji San to close the wound and apply red ointment with gauze.

The above are the treatment methods adopted at different stages of mastitis. In fact, the reason why the number of women suffering from mastitis in life is increasing is closely related to women’s living habits. Many female friends often neglect the care of breast health. Therefore, if they suffer from breast diseases, breast diseases must be treated in time, otherwise the disease may come to them at any time.
