What causes ovarian cysts?

Nowadays, more and more women are suffering from ovarian cysts, and this disease has become a relatively common gynecological disease. If the symptoms are relatively mild, patients generally do not feel anything and they are not easy to be discovered. Only by going for a check-up can you know the cause. When the condition worsens further, it will cause irregular menstruation, increased leucorrhea, dysmenorrhea, and even infertility. So, what is the reason why so many women develop ovarian cysts?

1. Genetic factors. According to statistics, 20-26% of patients with ovarian cysts have a family history.

2. Environmental and lifestyle factors. Food contamination, such as plant growth hormones in off-season vegetables, hormone components in lean meat animals in formula feeding, and the abuse of hormone drugs and supplements such as those for breast enhancement, weight loss, and anti-aging, make ovarian tumors more common and tend to progress at a younger age.

3. Endocrine factors. The incidence rate increases in nulliparous or infertile women, while pregnancy seems to have a protective effect on ovarian cancer; early menarche (before the age of 12), menopause after the age of 50, frequent menstruation, use of ovulation-stimulating agents for more than 3 cycles (discuss with your doctor when using), precocious puberty or virilization are also related to the occurrence of ovarian cysts.

4. Obesity. Among patients with polycystic ovary, 30% to 50% are obese women. Obesity will increase the level of androgen and increase the possibility of disease, so you need to pay attention to a light diet.

5. Caused by endometriosis. Endometriosis can also cause ovarian cysts, forming cysts filled with chocolate-like, sticky fluid in the ovaries.

Precautions

1. Develop a good habit of daily exercise to improve your immunity, which will help treat ovarian chocolate cysts.

2. Avoid high tension and mental stimulation, maintain an optimistic mood and get enough sleep. Avoid daily fatigue.

3. Patients with ovarian cysts should have a light diet that is rich in sufficient nutrition, correct picky eating and abnormal eating habits, and eat more protein-rich foods.

After understanding the cause of ovarian cysts, you should pay attention to it in your daily life, exercise more, improve your body's disease resistance, ensure adequate sleep, and pay attention to the combination of work and rest. Don't overwork, don't be too fat, eat more light fruits and vegetables, eat less seafood and irritating foods, etc.
