Treatment methods for vulvar atrophy

Vulvar atrophy is a female disease, it is not a gynecological disease. With the increase of age, many women will gradually experience vulvar atrophy and begin to age gradually. Our skin will age and the skin of the vulva will also age. At this time, there will be no leucorrhea and no menstruation. However, for many teenagers, the reaction is malnutrition. In the following article, the editor will introduce the treatment of vulvar atrophy.

Vulvar atrophy refers to a group of diseases in which female skin and vulvar mucosa are subjected to nutritional disorders, resulting in tissue degeneration and skin pigmentation loss. For a long time, clinicians have been accustomed to referring to vulvar diseases in which the skin and mucous membranes become white, thicker, or atrophied as "vulvar atrophy."

Senile vulvar atrophy is an atrophic change caused by skin nutritional disorders, resulting in varying degrees of skin tissue reduction and functional disorders in all or part of the vulvar skin and mucosa. Senile vulvar atrophy is caused by aging, endocrine disorders, malnutrition, chronic infection, poisoning, congenital abnormalities or neurotrophic dysfunction, etc. It can also be caused by long-term mechanical compression, traction or physical factors such as radiation damage or chemical stimulation. It usually appears after the age of 50.

It manifests as thinning and drying of the skin, reduced elasticity and sagging, wrinkles on the surface, atrophy of sweat glands, reduced sweat and sebaceous gland secretion, and hair loss and thinning. In addition, pigmentation and hypopigmentation spots, capillary dilation, thin scales and ecchymosis may appear, often accompanied by seborrheic keratosis, senile keratosis, senile hemangioma, purpura, skin tags, senile elastic fiber disease and other diseases.

In the above article, we learned about the treatment of vulvar atrophy. First of all, generally speaking, after the age of 50, the epidermis gradually becomes dry and loses elasticity, and the vulvar atrophy gradually atrophies. However, some elderly people take better care of themselves, so the symptoms are not as simple as we thought.
