What does the uterus look like?

The uterus is a unique organ of women. It is the place where menstruation and creation of life occur. Therefore, for every woman, the health of the uterus is very important. But as women, many of them do not understand the structure of the uterus. Let me introduce it to you below.

The uterus is located in the center of the pelvis, between the bladder and duodenum. The uterus of a normal adult non-pregnant woman is in an extended and flexed position. The main positioning device of the uterus is the support of the pelvic diaphragm and vagina and the traction of the tendons. The four pairs of tendons are the platysma tendon, round ligament of the uterus, cardinal tendon of the uterus, and sacrouterine ligament.

The uterus is in the shape of an inverted flat pear, flat in the front and slightly protruding in the back, with wide walls and a small cavity. It is wide and scattered at the top, facing forward and upward; the bottom is narrow and cylindrical, inserted into the upper end of the vagina. The average length, width, and thickness of the uterus of an adult woman are 7×5×3 cm respectively, and the uterine volume is about 5 ml.

Experts suggest that women should eat more foods that have the function of protecting the uterus in their daily lives, especially women who are preparing for pregnancy, who should pay more attention to eating foods that are beneficial to the uterus, so as to create a good and healthy environment for creating the next generation. Scientific research has found that if women want to maintain uterine health in daily life, some foods rich in vitamins are essential. For example, vitamin C and vitamin E, daily taking 90 mg of vitamin C and 30 mg of vitamin E, can help women significantly reduce the risk of uterine fibroids and ovarian cancer.

The uterus is a hollow organ located in the center of the pelvis, in an inverted pear shape, like the size of an egg. The upper end of the uterus is wider, called the body, and the protruding part above is called the fundus. The two sides of the fundus are the uterine horns, which communicate with the fallopian tubes. The lower part of the uterus is narrow and cylindrical, called the cervix. The uterine body is covered with mucous membrane, called the uterine wall. After puberty, the uterine wall undergoes regular changes under the influence of ovarian hormones and causes menstruation. The uterus is the passage for sperm to reach the fallopian tubes and the place for test tube embryos to develop. Uterine dysplasia or deformity will affect fertility. The uterus can be divided into the fundus (Fundus), body (Body), muscle wall (Isthmus) and cervix (Cervix) from the upper to the lower: Fundus: the part above the straight line of the fallopian tubes. Palace body: the thin part in the middle of the uterus. Muscle wall: The part that connects the uterus to the cervix. The length is only 1 cm.
