Early pregnancy gray marks mean you are just pregnant

Early pregnancy gray marks mean you are just pregnant

If you want to know whether you are pregnant or not, the easiest and most reasonable way is to go to the pharmacy and buy a pregnancy test strip for testing. After pregnancy, the embryo will secrete a kind of human chorionic gonadotropin, commonly known as hCG, and this hCG not only exists in the blood, but also appears in our urine. Therefore, you only need to take a little urine and use the test paper to grasp the situation very well. There will be a reference line on the test paper. If a second line appears in addition to the reference line, it means that you are pregnant. The longer the pregnancy, the deeper the second line will be.

The grey mark on the pregnancy test paper means you’ve just gotten pregnant, right?

If the gray mark is not clear, it means the embryo has already implanted and you need to come back for a follow-up check the next day to see if the gray mark has gotten worse. Whether you are pregnant is determined by the ovulation test paper based on the hCG component in the urine. hCG is a glycoprotein secreted by the trophoblast cells of the embryo. It enters the maternal blood quickly after successful fertilization and increases rapidly until the 8th week of pregnancy, then slowly decreases in concentration until the 18th to 20th week, and finally disappears for a long time. hCG testing is of great significance for early diagnosis of pregnancy, but in the early stages of pregnancy, due to the low hCG content in urine and the anxiety of mothers preparing for pregnancy, gray marks may be seen, which cannot determine whether you are pregnant or not. You can use morning urine and check again the next day to see if the pregnancy test paper becomes positive.

How to read an early pregnancy test?

1. Collect urine with a clean, dry container. Remove the test strip from the original foil packaging and use it as soon as possible within 1 hour.

2. Hold the test strip and place the end with the arrow mark into the container containing urine. Remove it after about three seconds and observe the result within 30 seconds to 5 minutes.

3. Result analysis:

Positive ( ): Two dark purple bands appear. One is located in the testing area (T) and the other is located in the quality control area (C). Indicates pregnancy.

Negative (-): Only a dark purple band appears in the quality control area (C), and no dark purple band appears in the detection area (T). Indicates not pregnant.

Failure: No dark purple bands appear in the quality control area (C), indicating an incorrect operating procedure or that the experimental reagent strip has become moldy and damaged.

Generally speaking, it is best not to drink water within four hours before testing to ensure that the concentration in the urine can increase accuracy. Then use a beaker to collect a small amount of urine, and then put the bottom of the test paper into the urine. A maximum line will appear on the bottom of the test paper. The urine should not exceed this line. After one or two minutes, you can take it out to check the results. The results within five minutes are valid, and the results after more than ten minutes are invalid.

Basically, if you follow the correct operation, the gray mark on the pregnancy test paper should mean that you are pregnant. However, sometimes it may be blurred, for example, the operation procedure is incorrect, the test paper has expired, or the test paper is not stored properly. It is very easy to distinguish. You can go to the pharmacy and buy two other brands of pregnancy test paper to test. If all three test papers can detect two bars, then you are almost 100% pregnant.
