Under normal circumstances, women's vagina will secrete leucorrhea, but abnormal leucorrhea, such as odor, yellowing, increased leucorrhea, etc., may be symptoms of gynecological diseases. So women need to do a detailed examination. However, when vaginal discharge becomes abnormal, many women do not know what examinations to undergo. Below we will talk about the methods for examining vaginal discharge. 1. Microbiological examination Vaginal secretion smear can be examined for pathogens by Gram staining. In vaginitis, various Gram-negative or Gram-positive bacilli and cocci other than the normal flora can be seen, such as Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Candida albicans, Staphylococcus aureus, etc., accompanied by a large number of white blood cells. In acute Neisseria infection, vaginal discharge is purulent and the pathogen is negative diplococci; In chronic infection, there may be more miscellaneous bacteria, so culture identification or PCR technology can be used for diagnosis; fungal vaginitis is mostly caused by Candida albicans. 2. Vaginal cleanliness examination The cleanliness of the vagina is determined by the number of vaginal bacilli, white blood cells and miscellaneous bacteria, and is divided into four degrees. Grade I: There are only a large number of vaginal lactobacilli and epithelial cells, no miscellaneous bacteria or white blood cells, the field of vision is clean, and it is normal vaginal secretions. II. Moderate amounts of vaginal bacilli and epithelial cells, a small amount of white blood cells and miscellaneous bacteria are basically normal vaginal secretions, which are more common in multiparous women with loose vaginal opening. Grade III: A small amount of vaginal bacilli and squamous epithelium, but a relatively large number of miscellaneous bacteria and white blood cells. Indicates inflammation, such as vaginitis and cervicitis. Grade IV: There are no vaginal bacilli, only a few epithelial cells, a large number of white blood cells and miscellaneous bacteria. It is more common in severe vaginitis, such as gonococcal vaginitis, Trichomonas vaginitis, etc. The above is the method to check leucorrhea. Therefore, when we have abnormal leucorrhea, we need to go to the hospital for these examinations as soon as possible, which can quickly and effectively detect gynecological diseases so that treatment can be introduced as soon as possible. In addition to treatment, prevention is also very important, so women should have a sense of health and hygiene in life, and pay special attention to the hygiene of the genitals. |
