Can you get pregnant if you have sex two days after your period ends? What should you pay attention to?

Men and women have sex within two or three days after the menstruation has just ended. Under normal circumstances, most people will take contraceptive measures, especially couples who do not want children for the time being. This is also to protect the female body and avoid pregnancy in the future. The editor has some opinions on having sex after menstruation, and I hope you still pay attention to the following points.

It's hard to say whether you can get pregnant right after your period. It's rare, but possible. Ovulation (the release of an egg from the ovary) occurs approximately 12 to 16 days before your next period, so whether or not you can get pregnant right after your period depends on how short your menstrual cycle is and how long your period lasts.

Normally, by the time you get your period, another egg is developing and ready to be released during this cycle. The time it takes for an egg to mature in the ovary can vary, so your actual ovulation day may vary by a few days. You can only get pregnant when the egg and sperm meet in the fallopian tube.

If you're like most women and have a 28-day menstrual cycle, you'll usually ovulate between days 12 and 16 of your menstrual cycle (counting the first day of your period as day one of your cycle). If your period lasts for 7 days, then by the time your period ends, it may be exactly 5 days before you ovulate. If you take into account that sperm can survive in the fallopian tube for 2 to 3 days, and if your ovulation is a little earlier than usual due to physiological and emotional factors, then you can get pregnant right after your period.

If your cycle is shorter than average, such as 22 days, you may ovulate just a few days after your period ends. In this case, there is a very high chance that you will get pregnant right after your period ends.

The editor hopes that all sexual intercourse between men and women is healthy, because a healthy and happy sex life can promote the sublimation of feelings between men and women. However, sexual life just after menstruation has certain harm to the body, especially for women, who are very easy to be infected with bacteria. In order to avoid gynecological diseases in the future, contraceptive measures should be taken.
