Vaginitis and cervicitis are relatively common gynecological diseases. We all know that these diseases naturally cause great harm to women's physical health. If they are not effectively treated, they may cause other problems. Therefore, women must pay attention to the symptoms of these diseases so that they can discover problems in time and take effective treatment in time. Cervicitis is a common disease among women of childbearing age and can be either acute or chronic. Acute cervicitis often coexists with acute endometritis or acute vaginitis, but chronic cervicitis is more common. Chronic cervicitis is often caused by the invasion of pathogens after childbirth, abortion or surgical injury to the cervix, causing infection. Chronic cervicitis has many manifestations. Such as cervical erosion, cervical hypertrophy, cervical polyps, cervical gland cysts, etc., among which cervical erosion is the most common. The main symptom of chronic cervicitis is increased vaginal discharge. The leucorrhea is milky white and mucous, sometimes yellow or pus-like. When accompanied by polyp formation, bloody leucorrhea or bleeding after sexual intercourse may occur. When the inflammation spreads to the pelvic cavity, there may be lumbar pain, lower abdominal distension and dysmenorrhea. These symptoms worsen before and after menstruation, bowel movements, and sexual intercourse. Sometimes it is accompanied by frequent urination, difficulty urinating, irregular menstruation, infertility, etc. Cervical erosion is closely related to cervical cancer. The incidence of cervical cancer in patients with cervical erosion is much higher than that in patients without cervical erosion, so active treatment should be given when suffering from cervical erosion. Main symptoms: It is an increase in leucorrhea. In acute cervicitis, the leucorrhea is purulent, accompanied by pain in the lower abdomen and lumbosacral area, or bladder irritation symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating. In chronic cervicitis, the leucorrhea is milky white and mucous, or light yellow and purulent. In severe cervical erosion or cervical polyps, the leucorrhea may be bloody or there may be bleeding after sexual intercourse. In mild cases, there may be no systemic symptoms. When the inflammation spreads along the uterosacral ligament to the pelvic cavity, there may be pain in the lumbar region, a feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen, and dysmenorrhea, which worsens during bowel movements and sexual intercourse. In addition, sticky and purulent leucorrhea is not conducive to the passage of sperm and can also cause infertility. The above are the major symptoms of vaginitis and cervicitis. I hope that through these introductions, every woman can pay more attention to her reproductive health in daily life, do a good job of hygiene and care of her private parts, and try to avoid these diseases from causing harm to her health. |
