How many days after artificial insemination is it best for implantation?

There are so many infertile people now, and it has become impossible for many people to have their own children. However, some people are very eager to have children. Therefore, people who cannot successfully fertilize in the human body will resort to artificial insemination to get a chance to get pregnant. However, artificial insemination is different from normal fertilization. It will be better to implant after a few days of artificial insemination.

Assisted artificial insemination is the process of removing sperm or eggs from the body, processing or culturing them into embryos, and then implanting them into the human body. The treatment that everyone is most familiar with is "test tube baby". In fact, the simplest sperm washing combined with intrauterine artificial insemination is also a type of artificial insemination. For mild infertility diseases, such as mild poor sperm motility, autoimmune diseases of anti-sperm antibodies in the couple's body, and cervical diseases, artificial insemination treatment has a 50% pregnancy rate each time. Even patients with severe oligospermia or azoospermia still have the opportunity to have children through sperm microinjection.

Artificial insemination is mainly used for infertility caused by male factors, such as severe hypospadias, retrograde ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, azoospermia, oligospermia, asthenospermia, and semen liquefaction disorder. Artificial insemination can also be used for some female-related infertility, such as vaginismus, small cervix, abnormal cervical mucus, poor post-coital test, etc. In addition, there are some special cases, such as infertility due to immunological reasons, where both husband and wife are heterozygous for the same autosomal recessive genetic disease or the male has an autosomal dominant genetic disease, and artificial insemination can also be used.

Main types

Artificial insemination classification: According to the different sources of semen used, artificial insemination can be divided into three categories:

1. Artificial insemination with husband's semen: artificial insemination with husband's semen.

2. Artificial insemination with donor sperm: Artificial insemination performed using the semen of another person is called artificial insemination with other sperm or artificial insemination with donor sperm.

According to the length of artificial insemination storage time, it can be divided into two categories:

1. Fresh sperm artificial insemination refers to the processing of semen as soon as possible after leaving the body and artificial insemination. The advantages are that it is simpler and has a higher success rate, while the disadvantages are the possibility of infectious diseases. Mainly used for artificial insemination with husband's sperm.

2. Artificial insemination with frozen semen refers to the use of a special method to ultra-low temperature cryopreservation of semen after it leaves the body (generally stored in a -170℃ liquid nitrogen tank), and then thawing the frozen semen for artificial insemination when needed. The disadvantage is that the success rate is low and more complex instruments and equipment are required; the advantage is safety.

According to the different sites of fertilization, there are 6 types:

1. Intravaginal artificial insemination;

2. Intracervical artificial insemination;

3. Intrauterine insemination;

4. Intraperitoneal artificial insemination;

5. Intrafollicular artificial insemination;

6. Artificial insemination through vaginal fallopian tube.

The above is some basic information about artificial insemination. If you want to carry out artificial insemination, you need to make a lot of preparations, because only the more preparations you make, the better the fertilization conditions can be provided for artificial insemination, and the chances of success will be greater. Finally, I would like to remind everyone that good physical condition is the most favorable condition for having children.
