Is it normal to bleed during the third trimester of pregnancy?

Originally, I had been diagnosed as an expectant mother, but the dangerous period of the first three months was almost over. It’s almost been three months, but who knew I would have vaginal bleeding these days. My family was almost scared to death, they were afraid that the first baby would be unstable and would be miscarried. It will be even harder to get pregnant in the future. So I collected a lot of reasons. Share this with other new mothers. Don’t be afraid. It’s not as bad as you think.

Vaginal bleeding is a common symptom of female reproductive organ diseases. Bleeding can come from the vulva, vagina, cervix and endometrium, but most often it comes from the uterus. Although vaginal bleeding can be life-threatening, if it is caused by a benign disease, the prognosis is good; and if the bleeding is small, it may also be the earliest symptom of a malignant tumor. If it is ignored, it may delay treatment and cause adverse consequences.

Vaginal bleeding generally refers to abnormal vaginal bleeding. Abnormal vaginal bleeding is one of the most common symptoms of female genital diseases. The following are all abnormal vaginal bleeding.

Vaginal bleeding symptoms can be roughly divided into the following types:

1. The menstrual volume increases and the menstrual period is prolonged but the cycle is normal. It may be uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, or dysfunctional uterine bleeding. In addition, those who have used an intrauterine device may also have increased menstrual flow.

2. Vaginal bleeding with irregular menstrual cycle. It is often functional uterine bleeding, but endometrial cancer should be ruled out first.

3. Long-term vaginal bleeding. Most of them are malignant tumors of reproductive organs, such as cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, etc.

4. Irregular bleeding after menopause. Women of childbearing age are more likely to be concerned about pregnancy-related diseases, such as miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, hydatidiform mole, etc.; postmenopausal women are more likely to have malignant tumors.

5. Bleeding after sexual intercourse. Most of them are cervical erosion, cervical polyps, cervical cancer or submucosal myoma.

6. Vaginal bleeding with leucorrhea. It is often considered to be advanced cervical cancer or endometrial cancer with infection.

7. Paroxysmal vaginal bleeding. There is a possibility of primary fallopian tube cancer.

8. Intermenstrual bleeding. It occurs between two menstrual periods, lasts for 3-4 days, and when the amount of blood is very small, it is mostly ovulation bleeding.

9. Irregular menstrual cycle, excessive menstrual flow, prolonged menstrual period or irregular bleeding. Functional uterine bleeding is abbreviated as DUB. This disease is very common in clinical practice, mainly caused by abnormal neuroendocrine function regulating reproduction. The principle of treatment is to stop bleeding quickly, adjust and establish a normal menstrual cycle after stopping bleeding, and prevent recurrence. Due to long-term bleeding, some people also have varying degrees of anemia, so correcting anemia is also very important.

Non-menstrual bleeding is mostly pathological, and since many people cannot distinguish whether the bleeding is physiological or pathological, for safety reasons, it is best to go to the hospital to consult a doctor to avoid missing the opportunity for early diagnosis and treatment.

This is not a sign of miscarriage. It scared me to death. Just avoid eating foods that promote blood circulation, choose the right tonic foods, and pay attention to rest, and the sign of miscarriage will be gone. As long as there's not a lot of bleeding it's fine. However, due to differences in individual physical conditions, it is recommended that you go to the hospital for a check-up and let the doctor take a look, so that you and your family can feel at ease.
