How to treat postpartum endometritis?

Having a baby is a happy thing for all parents, but most pregnant women will develop various gynecological diseases after giving birth. The occurrence of postpartum endometritis is also very common, which makes women very painful and affects their normal life. So how to treat it? Let's take a look at the treatment methods below.

There are currently three main treatments for endometritis:

1. Drug treatment: Drug treatment is the first choice for patients with mild and moderate symptoms. It has little side effects on the body and will not produce sequelae. Among the current drugs for the treatment of endometritis, Ximeiyan has a very good therapeutic effect on endometritis, a very low recurrence rate, and a good reputation. The price is relatively high, but the effect is remarkable.

2. Physical therapy: When drug therapy is ineffective, patients with moderate to severe conditions can choose physical therapy. However, physical therapy can cause harm to the body and has significant side effects. It can easily lead to insensitivity of the vaginal wall nerves, lack of pleasure in sexual life, and infertility. Therefore, infertile women should not use this therapy.

3. Surgical treatment: When both drug treatment and physical therapy are ineffective, severe patients can choose to undergo cervical conization or total hysterectomy. Surgical treatment is not recommended unless it is absolutely necessary.

Endometritis caused by abortion is not suitable for physical therapy or surgical treatment, as it is prone to postoperative infection and other gynecological inflammations. Currently, domestic medical technology is not yet fully mature. Therefore, choosing drug treatment for endometritis is the best treatment method. If you have endometritis after childbirth, you can do the following:

1. If you suffer from endometritis after childbirth, you should maintain a semi-recumbent position, which is conducive to limiting the inflammation and draining the uterine secretions. You can also apply hot compress to the lower abdomen to promote the absorption of inflammation and relieve pain. When the condition is serious, it is best to go to the hospital for treatment in time.

2. The mother should also keep her bowels open to relieve pelvic congestion and help excrete toxins. At the same time, you should also avoid excessive gynecological examinations to prevent the spread of inflammation. When high fever occurs, physical cooling can be adopted.

3. The diet should be mainly liquid or semi-liquid, and it is also advisable to choose high-calorie, high-protein, and multi-vitamin foods. For those who cannot eat, intravenous nutrition and water supplementation can be chosen, and attention should be paid to correcting electrolyte imbalance and acidosis.

4. When treating endometritis, in addition to using antibiotics, obvious causes must also be removed. For example, removing the intrauterine contraceptive device, clearing the residual placental tissue and endometrial polyps in the uterine cavity, and if there are submucosal uterine fibroids or endometrial cancer, appropriate treatment should be given according to the situation.

The above introduces how to treat postpartum endometritis. I hope that postpartum mothers will choose the correct treatment method and start treatment as soon as possible. In addition to treatment, they also need to develop good living habits in daily life to keep the disease away from us as much as possible to avoid the occurrence of the disease. Get well soon.
