We all know that the female body structure is particularly complex, and there are always some gynecological diseases. Although gynecological diseases do not seem to be serious diseases, they have a certain impact on women's physical and mental health. Moreover, some gynecological diseases will cause certain pain to women, and sometimes even lead to inability to work and study normally. Many women have experienced symptoms such as a little pain in the vaginal opening, which is also a manifestation of a gynecological disease. Let us understand what is going on when the vaginal opening hurts a little? Why does my vagina hurt? Fungal vaginitis Monilial or mycotic vaginitis is caused by fungal infection. Its incidence rate is second only to Trichomonas vaginitis. The most common symptoms of candidal infection are excessive vaginal discharge, burning and itching of the vulva and vagina, exogenous dysuria, and vulvar geographic erythema (fungal or candidal vulvovaginitis). Typical leucorrhea is curd-like or flaky, the vaginal mucosa is highly red and swollen, and white thrush-like plaques can be seen attached, which are easy to peel off. Underneath is an eroded base of damaged mucosa, or shallow ulcers may form. In severe cases, ecchymosis may remain. However, not all leucorrhea has the above typical characteristics. It can range from watery to curd-like leucorrhea. Some are completely thin and clear serous exudates, which often contain white flakes. The itching symptoms of candidal vaginitis during pregnancy are particularly severe, and may even cause restlessness and abnormal pain. There may also be symptoms such as frequent urination, painful urination, and pain during sexual intercourse. In addition, about 10% of women and 30% of pregnant women are carriers of mold but have no clinical symptoms. Trichomonas vaginitis Trichomonas vaginitis is a common vaginitis caused by Trichomonas vaginalis. Increased leucorrhea and vulvar itching The main symptoms of Trichomonas vaginitis are increased thin, foamy leucorrhea and vulvar itching. If there is a mixed infection with other bacteria, the discharge will be purulent and may have a foul odor. The itching areas are mainly the vaginal opening and vulva, and there may occasionally be burning, pain, and dyspareunia. If the urethra is infected, frequent urination and painful urination may occur, and sometimes hematuria may be seen. During the examination, the vaginal mucosa can be seen to be congested. In severe cases, there are scattered bleeding spots. There is a large amount of leucorrhea in the posterior fornix, which is grayish yellow, yellow-white thin liquid or yellow-green purulent secretion, often in a foamy state. There may be no abnormalities found in the vaginal mucosa of carriers. A small number of patients have Trichomonas in the vagina without any inflammatory response, and they are called carriers. Some people believe that Trichomonas cannot cause inflammation when it exists alone, because it consumes glycogen in the vaginal epithelial cells, changes the vaginal acidity and alkalinity, destroys the defense mechanism, and promotes secondary bacterial infection. Therefore, it often causes inflammation when the vaginal pH changes before and after menstruation, during pregnancy or after childbirth. Bacterial vaginosis Bacterial vaginosis is a type of vaginitis caused primarily by Gardnerella vaginalis and can be transmitted through sexual intercourse. The typical clinical symptoms of this disease are a significant increase in abnormal vaginal secretions, which are thin, homogeneous or thin, pasty, grayish white, grayish yellow or milky yellow, and have a special fishy odor. Since alkaline prostatic fluid can cause the release of amines, the odor will worsen during or after sexual intercourse. The pH value of the vagina increases during menstruation, so the odor may also increase during or after menstruation. The patient has discomfort in the vulva, including varying degrees of vulvar itching, which generally has no obvious time limit, but the itching is more obvious when resting or under stress. There is also varying degrees of external burning sensation, and some patients experience pain during sexual intercourse. Very few patients experience lower abdominal pain, difficulty in sexual intercourse, and abnormal urination. The vaginal mucosal epithelium shows no obvious congestion when the disease occurs. The above is an introduction to what causes pain at the vaginal opening. When female friends experience such symptoms, it means that they have gynecological diseases, so they must receive timely treatment and relief. This way, gynecological diseases can be effectively treated in a timely manner, reducing the pain brought to us by the disease, and at the same time, it can be more beneficial to the health of the body. |
