Introduction to cervical electrocautery

The cervix is a relatively important organ for many female friends. If you do not pay attention to the protection of the cervix in daily life, some cervical diseases will occur. Cervical diseases will cause great trouble to female friends. One of the treatments for the cervix is electrocautery. Let’s take a look at the introduction of cervical electrocautery to learn about the knowledge of cervical surgery.

Electrocautery cervical erosion is the most common lesion in chronic cervicitis. Cervical erosion is divided into mild, moderate and severe according to the size of the erosion area. Erosion area less than 1/3 of the entire cervical area is mild, erosion area between 1/3 and 2/3 is moderate, and more than 2/3 is severe. Women who have completed their childbearing tasks usually do not have many concerns about the treatment of cervical erosion. However, it is not so simple for women who have not yet completed their childbearing tasks. They often ask questions such as whether cervical erosion can be treated after giving birth and whether treatment before giving birth will affect future fertility. Mild cervical erosion usually does not affect conception because the inflammation is relatively mild. However, in moderate to severe cervical erosion, especially severe cases, the inflammatory changes are serious, and the leucorrhea is often purulent and very viscous. Inflammatory leucorrhea can inhibit or kill sperm, and the sticky cervical mucus can prevent sperm from passing through the cervical canal, thus affecting conception. When the inflammation spreads along the uterosacral ligament to the pelvic cavity and affects the fallopian tubes, it can also lead to inflammatory adhesions of the fallopian tubes, affecting the fertilization process and causing infertility. Therefore, patients with more severe cervical erosion, even women who have not yet given birth, need timely treatment. This is not only related to the long-term severe inflammatory stimulation that may lead to cervical cancer, but also to whether the patient can successfully conceive. There are many ways to treat cervical erosion, including local drug therapy, physical therapy and surgical treatment. Drug treatment is suitable for mild erosions with superficial inflammatory infiltration, but is often ineffective for moderate and severe erosions. It can be used as appropriate for infertile women with mild cervical erosion. The advantages of cervical electrocautery are short treatment course and good efficacy. Commonly used physical therapies include laser therapy, microwave therapy, electric iron therapy and cryotherapy.

Sometimes some unreasonable hygiene habits in life will lead to some inflammation or diseases of the cervix, which makes female friends very distressed.
