What to do with menopausal uterine fibroids

Women will experience menopause when they reach a certain age. When women experience this problem, they should pay attention to their emotions and make sure they remain stable, otherwise it will easily lead to other problems. After menopause, women should eat more foods that are good for the body, which will have a good effect on regulating the body. So what should women do about uterine fibroids after menopause? This is also something that many women don't know. There are some ways to improve this problem.

What to do with menopausal uterine fibroids:

Women should not panic if they find uterine fibroids after menopause, but they should not ignore them easily either. First, relevant examinations are needed to clarify the nature of the fibroids. Generally speaking, after women reach menopause, fibroids will slowly shrink and will not cause related symptoms; if fibroids continue to grow rapidly and corresponding symptoms appear, then you need to seek medical attention promptly.

Imaging examination: First, you need to do a gynecological color ultrasound (preferably a pelvic enhanced MRI) to understand the size, number, location, type, growth rate, blood supply, etc. of the fibroids. If the growth rate is fast and the blood flow signal is rich, you need to pay close attention.

Conduct auxiliary examinations for related tumor markers: Through blood drawing, understand a series of tumor markers such as CA125, CA199, HE4, CA72-4, tumor-specific growth factor, etc., and use whether the indicators are within the normal reference value range to help distinguish the benign and malignant nature of the fibroids, so as to consider the next diagnosis and treatment plan.

If various examinations confirm that the fibroids are benign, then you can rest assured that the fibroids will gradually shrink after menopause and will not affect your health and normal life. If imaging and tumor marker examinations combined with symptoms and signs indicate the possibility of malignancy, then timely surgical treatment is required.

Note:

1. Postmenopausal women still need to undergo physical examinations including gynecological examinations and gynecological color Doppler ultrasound every year; 2. Diagnosis and treatment need to be done in regular hospitals;

3. Postmenopausal women need to maintain a happy mood and exercise moderately every day;

4. If you find vaginal bleeding or feel a mass in your abdomen, you need to pay close attention.

After understanding what to do with menopausal uterine fibroids, women should actively cooperate when treating menopausal uterine fibroids. Women should also have a comprehensive physical examination before treatment so that they can have some understanding of their own conditions and choose the correct treatment method during treatment, so that the disease can be stabilized quickly.
