Causes of brown discharge during non-menstrual period

We know that female friends sometimes have some brown secretions during their menstrual period. Generally, this is normal. However, if female friends have brown secretions during their non-menstrual period, then it must be taken seriously. The main reason why women have brown discharge during non-menstrual period is vaginal bleeding. Below we will analyze in detail the reasons why women have brown discharge during non-menstrual period.

1. First time sexual intercourse or sexual intercourse that is too hasty or too violent, so that the vaginal wall is not fully expanded, which can easily cause vaginal wall tearing. This situation is more common among young girls who have eaten the forbidden fruit. Generally speaking, a woman's vagina is elastic, has many vertical and horizontal folds, is easy to expand, and will not tear. The vagina of a young girl is not yet fully developed. If she is too nervous during her first sexual intercourse, her muscles will contract and she will use too much force, which can easily cause tearing.

2. Vaginal bleeding between two menstrual periods after the menstrual period is over may be physiological or pathological. The most common of the former is vaginal bleeding during ovulation, which is characterized by mild lower abdominal pain and discomfort during a small amount of bleeding, and basal body temperature changes during ovulation. The latter is characterized by cervical erosion, polyps or cervical cancer, especially when it occurs frequently after sexual intercourse. This is because the contact and friction of the sexual organs cause damage and congestion to the affected area, resulting in blood exudation.

3. If the menstrual period does not come and vaginal bleeding occurs 7-10 days later, it is important to distinguish whether the vaginal bleeding is caused by menstruation or disease. The former is similar to the regularity of previous menstruation. The latter has no such pattern, with the flow sometimes more and sometimes less, but constantly. If accompanied by abdominal pain, you should pay more attention, because this situation is more common in ectopic pregnancy or threatened abortion.

4. The menstrual blood volume increases, lasts longer, and the dysmenorrhea is more obvious. This situation is more common in uterine fibroids or endometriosis.

5. If you had normal menstruation in the past but have had continuous bleeding recently, this is mostly caused by illness and needs to be checked out in time. The most likely cause is uterine inflammation or cancer. If after a natural or artificial abortion, vaginal bleeding usually stops within 3-7 days, and normal menstruation resumes after one month. However, if the above-mentioned continuous vaginal bleeding occurs, it is likely that there is residual fetal membrane tissue in the uterus. If this is the case, it should be removed by curettage as soon as possible, otherwise the residual fetal membrane tissue may turn into choriocarcinoma after a period of time. In addition, it may also be caused by intrauterine infection or cervical injury, which can be easily diagnosed through further examination.

6. Women who have had hydatidiform mole may have improved after treatment and their menstruation has returned to normal. If they experience abnormal, heavy vaginal bleeding again within two years, it may be an early symptom of malignant hydatidiform mole and diagnosis should not be delayed.

7 There are two possibilities for vaginal bleeding in menopausal women, especially after the age of 60. For some women who still have sex, due to the endocrine changes after menopause, the vagina is dry, which is easy to be damaged by friction and bleeding during sex. Therefore, if there is a feeling of dryness during intercourse, a small amount of ointment (such as tetracycline ointment) should be applied on the male glans before intercourse, which can reduce this mechanical damage and improve the sexual effect of both parties.

In the above article, we introduced a situation that may occur to female friends, that is, the appearance of brown discharge outside the menstrual period. In the above article, we analyzed the reasons for brown discharge outside the menstrual period, hoping to be helpful to the majority of female friends.
