The blood viscosity in the body will increase, the blood flow rate will slow down, and the blood vessel contraction time will be relatively prolonged. Some people, especially the elderly, have difficulty adapting to changes in environmental temperature due to vascular sclerosis, which can easily induce or aggravate cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. At this time, you should eat more red foods. Red foods can enter the heart and blood after entering the human body, and have the effect of replenishing qi and blood and promoting the production of blood and lymph.

In addition, red foods have strong antioxidant properties and are rich in lycopene, tannin, etc., which can protect cells. 1. Potato, Tomato and Beef Brisket Soup

Ingredients: beef brisket, potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, ginger, green onions, salt, light soy sauce, and cooking wine.

Method: Soak the beef in water to remove the blood, wash and cut into pieces, blanch it, remove it from the water, slice the ginger and cut the green onion into sections. Put ginger slices, scallion segments, a little cooking wine and light soy sauce in the pot, add appropriate amount of water, put the blanched beef in, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat for about 1 hour. In the off time, make a cross on the tomatoes, blanch them in boiling water, peel them and cut them into pieces. After 1 hour, add half of the tomatoes and continue to simmer. Peel and cut the carrots and potatoes into pieces. Wait until the tomatoes are cooked through and then add the remaining tomatoes, potatoes and carrots. Continue to simmer until carrots and potatoes are cooked through. Just add a little salt to taste.

2. Red wine and tomato shrimp

Ingredients: tomato sauce, cooking wine, tiger prawns, sugar, light soy sauce, wine, onion, ginger and garlic.

Preparation method: Cut off the shrimp's whiskers, legs and claws, marinate with a little cooking wine, wash and chop the onion, ginger and garlic, and set aside. Mix 3 spoons of wine, 2 spoons of tomato sauce, 1 spoon of light soy sauce, 2 spoons of sugar and a little salt to make the sauce (if you make a lot, just add another portion of sauce in the same proportion). Heat the oil over low heat until it is 50% hot, add the shrimps and fry. After about 5 minutes, add chopped green onion, ginger and garlic and continue frying until 90% cooked. Pour in the sauce and continue frying on both sides until cooked. Remove from the pan, place on a plate and sprinkle with chopped green onion.

3. Fungus and Hawthorn Porridge

Ingredients: 5 grams of black fungus, 30 grams of hawthorn, and 50 grams of rice.

Preparation method: Soak the fungus, wash and cut into shreds, rinse the rice, wash the hawthorn, remove the core and cut into cubes. Add 600ml of water to the pot, pour in the shredded wood ear, and cook over medium heat. After the water boils, pour in the washed rice. After boiling, simmer for 20 minutes over low heat. Pour in the chopped hawthorn and stir constantly with a spoon for 10 minutes to make the porridge thicken faster.

4. Steamed Pumpkin with Red Dates and Lily Bulbs

Ingredients: 700 grams of pumpkin, 10 red dates, 1 lily, 1 handful of white sesame seeds, 2 tablespoons of honey.

Method: Remove the pumpkin seeds, use a stainless steel spoon to scoop out the pumpkin inside, peel off the skin and make a pumpkin bowl. Wash the red dates and remove the cores. Wash the fresh lilies and pick them one by one. Put the red dates and lilies into the pumpkin bowl. Put a steaming rack in the steamer. After the water boils, put the pumpkin bowl on the steaming rack and steam it on medium heat for 20 minutes. After it cools down a little, carefully move the pumpkin bowl to a plate, pour out the juice in the bowl and mix it with honey. Cut the pumpkin bowl with a knife, pour the honey juice on it, sprinkle with white sesame seeds and it is ready to eat.

5. Pumpkin and red rice soy milk

Ingredients: 1 cup of soybeans, 1/2 cup of red rice, 1 piece of pumpkin.

Method: Soak soybeans and red rice in clean water overnight in advance, peel the pumpkin and cut it into small pieces, wash the soaked soybeans and red rice, put them into the soy milk machine together with the pumpkin, add enough water according to the instructions, press the whole bean soy milk level, and it will be cooked in about fifteen minutes.
