Female leucorrhea, like menstruation, is a physiological characteristic of a girl's growth from youth to maturity, bidding farewell to the days of girlhood when she was kept in seclusion and unknown to the world. Under normal circumstances, leucorrhea is white and odorless, and its quantity and quality vary with the menstrual cycle. However, in recent years, due to some women not paying attention to private hygiene, frequent and uncontrolled sexual life or early aging, many women have abnormal phenomena such as increased or decreased leucorrhea, discolored, bloody, and fishy smell. This abnormal phenomenon indicates that women have contracted a certain disease and becomes an early warning indicator of women's diseases. In summary, abnormal leucorrhea mainly indicates the following eight types of women's diseases. Women's disease 1: bacterial infection, uterine fibroids In terms of quantity, the amount of leucorrhea increases abnormally. Bacterial infection is the most common cause of increased vaginal discharge, which can be caused by bacteria, gonococci, fungi, etc. Uterine fibroids, especially submucosal fibroids, can also cause increased vaginal discharge. Women's disease 2: low estrogen levels In terms of quantity, the leucorrhea is abnormally reduced. Leucorrhea becomes less in amount and does not increase even during ovulation, which is often a sign of low estrogen levels. Women's disease 3: Trichomonas vaginitis Judging from the color and smell, when the leucorrhea is abnormal, changes in color, smell and texture will generally occur together. Yellow foamy leucorrhea is yellow or yellow-green in color, and may even dye underwear yellow. It is difficult to wash off and is accompanied by vulvar itching. It may be Trichomonas vaginitis. Women's disease 4: uterine fibroids From the perspective of color and taste, when leucorrhea is abnormal, changes in color, odor and texture will generally occur together (the same below). Yellow watery leucorrhea is yellow or yellow-green, watery, and has a fishy or foul smell. At the same time, if there is excessive menstruation, you should be alert to uterine fibroids. Women's Disease 5: Gonorrhea STD Purulent leucorrhea is more common in patients with vaginitis, cervical erosion, chronic pelvic inflammatory disease and endometritis. If accompanied by urinary pain, frequent urination, and urgency, it may be a sexually transmitted disease caused by gonococcal infection. Warning 6: Candida albicans vaginitis White cheese-like leucorrhea is white, sticky, cheese-like or tofu-like, and is accompanied by severe itching of the vulva. It is a common symptom of Candida albicans vaginitis. Women's Disease 7: Bacterial Vaginosis Grayish white, thin, fishy-smelling leucorrhea is often seen in patients with bacterial vaginitis and is caused by an imbalance in the normal bacterial flora in the vagina. Women's disease eight: cervicitis, cervical polyps or cervical cancer Bloody leucorrhea means that there is blood mixed in the leucorrhea. If it occurs in women of childbearing age and is accompanied by pain during sexual intercourse, it may be cervicitis; if it occurs in middle-aged or elderly women, it may be senile vaginitis, cervical polyps, or cervical cancer. |
