10 acupoints women must know to replenish blood and maintain beauty

According to traditional Chinese medicine theory, "blood is the foundation of women" and "if you keep your blood, you keep your youth." How can women replenish blood and soothe the qi and blood in the meridians? Traditional Chinese medicine believes that replenishing blood is something that women must do throughout their lives. There are ten major acupuncture points in the human body that replenish blood and maintain health. Regularly massaging these health-preserving acupoints can replenish and regulate blood.

1. Tianshu Point

Regularly pressing the Tianshu point (a point on the Stomach Meridian of Foot-Yangming) can keep the Stomach Meridian and Large Intestine Meridian active, promote the circulation of Qi and blood in the Stomach Meridian, and help transport Qi and blood from the Stomach Meridian to the Large Intestine Meridian.

When the stomach meridian is full of qi and blood, the digestive function is enhanced, which provides enough fine substances to the blood production system and provides the most basic power for blood supplement; when the large intestine meridian is full of qi and blood, it can ensure the normal circulation and excretion function, which can stop diarrhea and promote bowel movements, keep the intestines clean, and protect people from the trouble of "toxins".

Use the thumbs of both hands to press down (with moderate force) on both sides of the health-preserving acupoints, and massage in circles from the outside to the inside, 100-200 times a day, which can both replenish blood and detoxify.

2. Xuehai Point

As the saying goes, if you want to replenish blood, go to Xuehai; if you want to replenish qi, go to Qihai. Xuehai Point (an acupoint on the Spleen Meridian of Foot Taiyin) is where the blood produced by the Spleen Meridian gathers. It has the function of transforming blood into Qi and transporting spleen blood. It also has the effect of guiding blood back to the meridians and treating blood diseases. Puncturing the Xuehai point can remove blood stasis in the human body and promote the production of new blood.

Patting or massaging the Xuehai point is effective for women with dysmenorrhea and excessive or insufficient menstrual bleeding. The effect will be better if combined with massaging the Sanyinjiao point and Taixi point. If dysmenorrhea is accompanied by vomiting, massaging this point and pressing the Zusanli point at the same time can immediately relieve the symptoms.

Pat (10 seconds each time, 3-5 times in a row) or massage (gently for 3 minutes on each side) the Xuehai point from 9:00 to 11:00 am every day, and then moxibustion this point from 9:00 to 11:00 pm. It is effective for women with irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, obesity and joint pain caused by blood stasis.

3. Sanyinjiao acupoint

Sanyinjiao acupoint (an acupoint on the spleen meridian of foot Taiyin) is the point where the liver, spleen and kidney meet. The spleen controls blood, the liver stores blood, and the kidney produces blood. Therefore, Sanyinjiao has the function of harmonizing Qi and blood, and nourishing the kidney and liver.

At 11 a.m. every day, massage this health-preserving acupoint on the inner side of the left and right calves for 20 minutes each. It can expel moisture, turbid air, and toxins from the body, and is effective for eczema, urticaria, dermatitis, etc.

Regularly press the Sanyinjiao point to replenish blood, activate blood circulation, and maintain blood pressure stable. It is especially effective in replenishing blood for people with low blood pressure.

4. Zusanli acupoint

Stimulating the Zusanli point (a point on the Stomach Meridian of Foot-Yangming) can replenish qi and blood, nourish vital energy, and nourish the brain marrow. It is the first choice to ensure adequate liver blood.

For people who suffer from dizziness, tinnitus, neurasthenia, insufficient gastric motility caused by deficiency of qi and blood, people with weak stomach qi, and people who damage the liver due to excessive eye use or insomnia and staying up late, regularly tapping, massaging, and moxibustioning this point can have a very good improvement effect.

Massage or moxibustion on Zusanli can warm the middle and dispel cold, invigorate the spleen yang, replenish the middle and benefit qi, ventilate the body, guide qi downward, and strengthen the whole body. People with excessive stomach acid and heartburn on an empty stomach should not apply moxibustion to Zusanli acupoint. Yanglingquan acupoint can be used instead, which is effective.

5. Guanyuan Point

Zusanli, Guanyuan and Qihai are the three important acupoints for strengthening the human body. There is an ancient saying that "Acupuncture must be performed at Sanli, and moxibustion must include Guanyuan." Guanyuan point is the intersection of the human body's Yuanyin and Yuanyang (an acupoint on the Ren meridian and also a Mu point of the small intestine). It is the place where "men store semen and women store blood". It governs diseases of the three Yin meridians of the foot, small intestine, and Ren meridian.

Massage Guanyuan acupoint to improve the spleen and stomach's function of producing qi and blood. Press gently 8 times in each round, 8 rounds each time, to replenish blood and eliminate belly fat.

6. Yinbai Point

Yinbai point (a point on the spleen meridian of foot Taiyin) regulates blood and stops bleeding.

Massage or moxibustion this point can be used for nose bleeding and heavy menstrual flow.

"Taiyin has its roots in Yinbai, and is called the Yin among Yins." Massaging this point can stimulate the spleen meridian, promote the continuous production of Qi and blood, and is a major acupoint for replenishing blood for women.

7. Biguan Point

Biguan point (a point on the Stomach Meridian of Foot-Yangming) is the place where spleen earth particles in the Stomach Meridian settle. It is the place where the yin of the lower abdomen and the yang of the front of the thigh meet. It is the general point for regulating the Stomach Meridian of the lower limbs.

Usage of this point: if it is cold, use moxibustion to tonify it; if it is hot, use acupuncture to drain it.

Press this point more often to strengthen the spleen, eliminate dampness, and solidify the spleen earth. Regulates Qi and stomach, treats stomachache. In addition, pressing this health-preserving acupoint more often is effective for losing weight for people with rheumatism, arthritis, and obesity in the buttocks and thighs.

8. Xiaguan Point

Xiaguan Point (a point on the spleen meridian of foot Taiyin) is the meeting point of the gallbladder meridian and the stomach meridian.

Efficacy: Unblocks menstruation and clears the orifices, relaxes the meridians and activates blood circulation, and promotes metabolism. Massaging this point is effective for toothache caused by kidney deficiency, ischemia or stomach fire; it also improves kidney blood deficiency, promotes the balance of yin and yang, and eliminates stomach fire.

Toothache caused by kidney deficiency and ischemia: dull pain, intermittent pain, and does not heal over time, accompanied by gum atrophy, loose teeth, and soreness in the waist and knees. (When massaging, combine with cheek-cartilage point and kidney point.)

Toothache caused by stomach fire: severe toothache, red and swollen gums, swollen cheeks, thirst, bad breath, and difficulty chewing. (When massaging, combine with cheek-cartilage point, Zhigou point, and Weishu point.)

9. Qimen Point

Qimen acupoint (Foot Jueyin Liver Meridian) is the meeting point of the Foot Taiyin, Jueyin and Yinwei meridians.

Efficacy: Protect the liver and avoid liver blood deficiency. Regularly pressing this point is effective for liver blood deficiency.

10. Zhangmen Point

Zhangmen acupoint (Foot Jueyin Liver Meridian) is the meeting point of the Foot Jueyin and Dai meridians.

Function: Soothe the liver and strengthen the spleen; regulate the qi and blood of the five internal organs and make them coordinate with each other.

People with poor spleen function may feel pain when massaging this point. Moxibustion at Zhangmen, Qimen, Zusanli and Neiguan can coordinate the five internal organs and regulate the qi and blood of the liver and stomach.
