How to solve dysmenorrhea in women

Dysmenorrhea is a common symptom in women's lives, but it varies from person to person. Some people experience dysmenorrhea, but some do not. Anyone who has experienced dysmenorrhea knows that it is very uncomfortable. So how can we solve it? In fact, different degrees of dysmenorrhea sometimes reflect whether your physical condition is good. Sometimes proper exercise can also relieve the symptoms of dysmenorrhea.

How to solve dysmenorrhea? This problem is very complicated. After investigation, it was found that some people have varying degrees of dysmenorrhea symptoms during adolescence, but the dysmenorrhea disappears after they get married and have children. What is going on here? It shows that there are many factors that affect dysmenorrhea, and severe dysmenorrhea can be treated with medication.

Drugs for treating dysmenorrhea include:

1. Prostaglandin synthase inhibitors can inhibit the synthesis of endometrial prostaglandins, reduce the amplitude and frequency of uterine contractions, do not affect the function of the pituitary-ovarian axis, and have an effective rate of 70%. It is best to start taking the medicine when pain symptoms begin to appear, when menstruation starts, or even 1-2 days before the onset of menstruation. You can continue taking the medicine until the pain disappears and then stop taking it. If medication is taken during the painful period, it is sometimes difficult to control the pain.

2. The mechanism of action of combined hormonal contraceptives (COCs) may relieve dysmenorrhea by reducing prostaglandin production and inhibiting ovulation, which has been confirmed by studies. Moreover, OCs can treat cases where NSAIDs are ineffective. Different birth control pills are equally effective in treating dysmenorrhea. Although literature reports that OCs are 90% effective in treating dysmenorrhea, a recent Cochrane review concluded that there are not enough randomized controlled studies to confirm the effectiveness of OCs in treating dysmenorrhea.

3. β-receptor agonists stimulate β-receptors on the uterine muscle cell membrane, causing uterine muscle relaxation and relieving dysmenorrhea. Commonly used β2 receptor stimulants include: hydroxymethylisobuterol and meta-isobuterol. The methods of administration include oral, aerosol inhalation, subcutaneous, intramuscular injection and intravenous administration. The therapeutic effect is not very satisfactory, and there are side effects such as palpitations and tremors, so it is not widely used.

There are many solutions to dysmenorrhea. As long as the method is effective for you, you can use it for a long time. In addition to drug treatment for dysmenorrhea, severe dysmenorrhea can also be relieved by hysterectomy, but this method is not acceptable to many people, so it is used less. Active and appropriate physical exercise in daily life is also helpful in relieving dysmenorrhea symptoms.
