Is it normal to have frequent fetal movements during pregnancy?

After seven months of pregnancy, the time is almost right and everyone is preparing to welcome the baby. In another month or two, the baby will be born. As the baby's body continues to grow, the baby's fetal movements will become more and more intense. It is normal for a seven-month-old baby to have strong fetal movements. If we don’t know much about fetal movements, let’s discuss what’s going on!

1. Is frequent fetal movement normal?

Generally everything is normal. At seven months of pregnancy, the baby is in the open stage and does not look very big. The space for movement in the uterus is relatively large. The baby will often stretch out his hands, lift his legs, and impact the endometrium in the uterus, so the fetal movement is frequent.

Note: If there is an abnormal phenomenon of sudden frequent fetal movement, it is recommended that pregnant women go to the hospital for relevant examinations. Pregnant women should develop a good habit of counting fetal movements and check the baby's condition in time.

2. Reasons for normal fetal movement

(1) Exercise after meals

After a meal, the mother's blood sugar level increases, and the baby is also "full" and strong thanks to the mother, so he will move around after the meal, so the baby's fetal movement will become more and more frequent than before the meal.

(2) Mentality transmission

After taking a warm water bath, the pregnant mother's blood will flow more smoothly, and her mind and body will be more relaxed. This happy mood will be passed on to the baby, and he will move with the happiness, so the baby's fetal movement will become more frequent.

(3) Communicate and exchange feelings

In the late pregnancy, the fetus can already hear the voices of its parents, so when the prospective parents talk to the fetus, the baby will respond and express his feelings in the form of normal fetal movements.

(4) The stimulation of new things

When the fetus is stimulated by new things, such as playing a piece of music, listening to a story, etc., it will express its happiness through movement, and the baby's fetal movement will be more frequent at this time.

(5) Nighttime active period

Generally, the fetus will be more active at night. On the one hand, he is more energetic at night, and on the other hand, the pregnant mother can calm down and feel the baby's fetal movement, and the baby's fetal movement will also appear more frequent.

3. Causes of abnormal fetal movement

(1) Lack of oxygen

Pregnant mothers need to be particularly vigilant, not all frequent fetal movements are normal. If the fetal movement has always been rare and suddenly becomes frequent, you need to pay attention, because this may be a distress signal sent by the fetus to the mother due to lack of oxygen.

Note: When the fetus shows symptoms of hypoxia, the pregnant mother should seek medical attention immediately. If relevant treatment measures are not taken, the fetus may stop moving, the fetal heartbeat may decrease, or the fetus may die.

(2) Pregnant mother is hit by external objects

If the pregnant mother is hit by external objects during pregnancy, it may also cause the fetal movement to suddenly accelerate and become strong.

Note: Traumatic collision may lead to miscarriage or premature birth. Pregnant mothers should pay attention and seek medical attention immediately.
