Can I take vitamin B during my period?

Women with mature uterine cells have regular uterine wall bleeding, which also refers to the blood discharged during menstruation. Generally, menstruation begins at around the age of fourteen, and stops at around the age of fifty. Except for pregnancy and breastfeeding, menstruation usually occurs once a month. It is recommended to take B vitamins during menstruation, but it is best to take B vitamins from nutritional supplements. This can relieve the tension and anxiety caused by menstruation and better regulate the endocrine system.

Common Menstrual Period Problems:

1. Women who like to drink carbonated beverages will experience fatigue and poor spirits during their menstrual period, which is a major manifestation of iron deficiency. Because most beverages such as carbonated drinks contain polyphosphates, which can produce chemical changes with the iron in the human body and make the iron unable to be digested and absorbed, you should not drink carbonated drinks during your menstrual period.

In addition, drinking more carbonated drinks will neutralize the sodium bicarbonate in carbonated drinks with gastric acid, reduce the digestive capacity and antibacterial effect of gastric juice, and affect appetite.

2. Eat less or no fried, spicy and other irritating foods, such as chili peppers, onions, amaranth, osmanthus, and roasted ginger, otherwise, it will affect digestion and absorption or cause excessive menstrual flow, and will also cause menstrual pain or menstrual disorders. Drink less alcohol, alcohol is harmful to the liver and will deplete the body's B vitamins and minerals. Drinking too much will also disrupt the metabolism of carbohydrates.

3. During menstruation, if you eat more cold foods or cold fruits and vegetables, such as hairy crabs, conchs, clams, loofahs, stone lettuce, melons, ice drinks and cold food, it will hurt your stomach and hinder digestion and absorption. Secondly, it will easily damage the body's qi and blood, and it will easily cause internal coldness. Stagnation of cold air can block blood circulation, causing scanty menstruation, or even menstrual pain. Even in the hot summer, it is not suitable to eat ice cream or cold food during menstruation. It is better to have a moist and hot diet, which is conducive to smooth blood circulation. In winter, you can also eat some foods with clearing and tonic effects, such as beef, mutton, chicken breast, longan, wolfberry, etc.

4. Avoid sour ingredients. During menstruation, menstrual metabolism should be smooth. If you are fond of sour foods, such as dried plums, apricots, and oranges, it can easily hinder blood circulation, leading to oligomenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, or amenorrhea.

5. Drink less caffeine-containing beverages. This is because caffeine-containing drinks can cause breast pain, anxiety, irritability and emotional instability, while also depleting the body's stored B vitamins and disrupting carbohydrate metabolism. Cheese is the root cause of menstrual pain, as do milk, cream, yeast milk, and eggs. This kind of diet will destroy the absorption of magnesium. Chocolate can make people lose control of their mood, which can cause more unstable mood and sugar cravings. In addition to gaining weight, it can also increase the demand for B vitamins. Eat less sweets, sugar can deplete B vitamins and minerals, and make people more greedy for carbohydrate foods.
