I have withdrawal bleeding and I am pregnant

Bleeding during pregnancy does not indicate withdrawal bleeding, but a sign of miscarriage. Withdrawal bleeding mainly refers to the shedding and bleeding of the endometrium after stopping the use of estrogen drugs. Vaginal bleeding is easy to confuse clinically. Sometimes bleeding during menstruation is not necessarily menstruation, and it may also be non-menstrual bleeding during pregnancy. Therefore, for women of childbearing age, if there are no contraceptive measures, abnormalities in the time, amount and characteristics of menstruation occur, or accompanied by abdominal pain and discomfort different from normal menstruation, pregnancy should be ruled out first.

It is possible that a woman may experience withdrawal bleeding after taking emergency contraception but still accidentally become pregnant and eventually become pregnant. The occurrence of withdrawal bleeding after taking contraceptives does not mean that the patient's contraceptive measures are successful. Most contraceptives are estrogen. In some cases, patients will use combined Chinese herbal preparations of estrogen and progesterone or mifepristone. However, these are all hormonal drugs. After the patient takes them, the female hormones in the body will fluctuate, so the patient's uterine wall may experience a small amount of exfoliation and bleeding.

Therefore, the patient's withdrawal bleeding does not mean that the contraceptive measures are successful, but means that the patient's body hormones change after taking emergency contraception. The contraceptive effect rate of birth control pills is not 100%, it is about 80%, so it is possible that patients will experience withdrawal bleeding after taking the pills and have unexpected pregnancies.

Withdrawal bleeding is mainly a kind of irregular vaginal bleeding disease that occurs in female patients after taking contraceptives. Considering that the occurrence of withdrawal bleeding may also indicate that the current medicine has been fully exerted in the body, and has no contraceptive effect, it is not easy to get pregnant. However, it cannot be 100% guaranteed that the patient will not get pregnant. It is recommended that active observation of symptoms should be carried out at this stage. If the next menstrual period can come normally, it means that you are not pregnant. If the menstrual period is gradually delayed for more than one month, it may be an unmarried pregnancy.
