How do girls know their ovulation period?

According to research from York University in Toronto, Australia, women are most jealous during their ovulation period each month and will deliberately undermine the attractiveness of other women in order to win the man they like. After ovulation, their attitude toward other women will also turn negative. How do women know their ovulation period? What are the characteristics of ovulation period?

Ovulation temperature method

The body temperature measured immediately after a normal woman wakes up after a good sleep is called ovulation temperature. Therefore, you should use the ovulation temperature method to self-test your ovulation period and measure your body temperature before standing up after waking up in the morning. During a menstrual cycle, a woman's body temperature will change regularly during her ovulation period. Generally, the body temperature is the lowest during the ovulation period, a little higher during the menstrual period, and rises after ovulation until it drops one or two days before the next menstruation. Therefore, ovulation generally occurs during the process of the body temperature rising from low to high during ovulation. If the basic body temperature rises one day after ovulation, it means that ovulation has occurred and there is no pregnancy. In the period of life before ovulation, the body temperature is generally below 36.5℃. On the day before ovulation, the body temperature drops a little bit, and the body temperature is the lowest on the day of ovulation. One day later, the body temperature starts to rise, with a rate of more than 0.5℃, which lasts about 12 to 16 days until the menarche.

Menstrual cycle measurement method

For women with regular menstruation, they can use a calendar to calculate their ovulation period. Generally speaking, ovulation occurs on the 14th day before the next menarche. Marking this time on the calendar and arranging sexual intercourse accordingly will make it easier to get pregnant. Because the ovulation period will change due to symptoms, mood, environment and drugs, it should be used in combination with other methods.

Cervical mucus method

The mucus produced by the cervix can become thicker or thinner as a woman's menstrual cycle changes. In the second half of the menstrual cycle, the mucus secreted by the uterus is sticky and thick, forming a "plug" to block the cervical opening. At this time, even the most powerful sperm cannot pass through this "copy" of the cervical opening. During ovulation, the cervix opens, the moisture content of the mucus secreted in the uterus increases, becoming clearer and thinner, making it easier for sperm to pass through and enter the uterus. After 24 hours, the cervix closes again on its own.

How to treat intermenstrual pain

Once a month, after the egg cell grows and matures from one ovary, it "squeezes" out of the ovary, is released, and swims to the fallopian tubes on both sides. This is a dynamic process. The entire process of removing the uterus and ovaries takes about 1 to 2 minutes. At this time, the follicle ruptures and the egg cell emerges, which will cause mild bleeding. If the bleeding site happens to be against the retroperitoneum at this time, women will feel a vague pain, which is medically called intermenstrual pain. Everyone's intermenstrual pain feels different. Some do not feel pain but only have intermittent soreness on one side of the waist. Some women feel bloating in the waist, while some women have no discomfort at all. Women who experience this kind of intermenstrual pain can predict their ovulation period and arrange their chances of pregnancy based on this pain.
