What is postmenstrual disease?

Most female friends will feel some discomfort in the later stages of menstruation, such as itching of the vulva, a feeling of distension, and some pain. What causes this? During menstruation, you must maintain hygiene, change sanitary napkins regularly, avoid causing cross infection, and women during menstruation should not be too tired. Below we will explain in detail the introduction of late menstrual diseases.

Causes

Endocrine imbalance, polycystic ovary syndrome, and ovarian aging can also cause delayed menstruation. Check it out in time. Once any abnormality is found, treat it as soon as possible, otherwise there will be problems. Chronic diseases such as some common chronic hepatitis, tuberculosis, tumors, hypothyroidism and other chronic diseases often cause delayed menstruation due to malnutrition. Surgical treatment of trauma, intrauterine surgery, artificial abortion, etc. can cause cervical adhesions and lead to menstrual blood stasis, which in turn delays menstruation.

Mental reasons: Mental stress, anxiety, grief, sadness, anger, heartbreak, excitement and other abnormal mental states usually cause delayed menstruation. This condition usually causes breast pain, anxiety, and discomfort, which usually does not require treatment. However, sometimes the menstrual period is delayed and Chinese herbal medicine can be taken for dialectical treatment. Excessive weight loss and body stretching will cause endocrine imbalance if the body fat percentage is too low. In order to control their weight, many women take some weight loss drugs or diet too much, which leads to delayed menstruation.

If this condition is short-lived, the menstrual cycle can be restored naturally, but for older people, medication is often required to restore the menstrual cycle. The TCM diagnosis method is flexible and can be divided into two levels: deficiency and excess:

1. The weak may be due to long-term illness resulting in deficiency of qi and blood, insufficient blood supply; or long-term chronic blood loss, poor diet, excessive fatigue, damage to the stomach and intestines, insufficient source of blood supply; or yang deficiency, or long-term illness resulting in yang decline, all of which can lead to insufficient blood supply, lack of nourishment for the internal organs, affecting the blood supply and function, making it impossible for the blood sea to be full on schedule, and leading to delayed menstruation.

2. The excess may be due to exogenous wind, cold and dampness or depression, which can cause the qi to stagnate, or cause blood stasis. The blood circulation is blocked, the Chong and Ren meridians do not circulate smoothly, and the blood sea cannot be filled as scheduled, resulting in late menstruation.

If you do not pay attention to menstrual hygiene during menstruation, it may cause menstrual disease. Therefore, women during menstruation must pay attention to menstrual hygiene, maintain a happy mood, try not to do strenuous exercise, and do not have sexual life to prevent the occurrence of menstrual disease.
